As I work in the construction industry, I'm very picky about my contractors and put them through a rigorous review. I have to say, I've honestly never worked with such an amazing team as you'll find in Jon and Leah at Buckeye Basements. They are top notch professionals during every step of the project. First, they have a wealth of knowledge and experience and were fantastic with helping me design the space that met all of our needs. Second, their contract was fair and reasonable. Third, their communication was excellent throughout the entire process and their trades showed up on time, were courteous, clean, respectful and professional. I was extremely pleased with the quality of craftsmanship and the value. I wish I could use Jon and Leah for every home project/renovation.

Buckeye Basements did a fantastic job with our basement finishing project. From design to clean up every detail was completed on schedule, within budget and reflected my priorities. Jon and Leah were so great to work with. I didn’t expect to enjoy a basement renovation as much as I did, but they made the process seamless. We always knew who to expect when, and had an updated timeline for project completion. Everyone who works with them is incredibly kind and courteous, and I was sad to see some of them go. We loved working with Jon & Leah at Buckeye Basements. They have incredible communication and every subcontractor that they used for the project were professional and a pleasure to have working on our house. They made the process easy we were so shocked how accurate their timeline was, they even completed ahead of schedule. Jon and Leah both had great recommendations for the layout and materials.

Buckeye Basements developed our basement in the spring/summer of 2021 which included a guest bedroom, bathroom, workout room, theater room, finished storage closet as well as unfinished storage space. We couldn't be happier with the experience! At every step communication was detailed, honest and accurate. Leah sent regular updates so we always knew what to expect. Our basement exceeded our expectations. The layout was mostly straightforward, but Jon went above and beyond to give us multiple options for one tricky area. In the end, the layout ended up being something we would never have thought of on our own and it was perfect for what we needed. Jon was also willing to do the extra work to preserve the highest possible ceilings, which involved rearranging plumbing and HVAC to minimize ceiling drops. He also had no issue with moving our rough-ins to accommodate our layout, which I've been told by friends that not all contractors are willing to do. Even though our project was happening during the height of covid mayhem, Jon and Leah managed to keep everything on schedule and there were no big expensive surprises. Everything was communicated timely, the estimated costs were accurate, and the very few, small bumps we had, which were not their fault, were resolved quickly. Everyone told me how stressful developing a basement is, and while it is a major disruption to daily life, Buckeye Basements was the the least stressful part! Thank you, Jon and Leah!

Communication throughout the entire project was timely and professional. They set clear expectations from the beginning including a detailed timeline so we knew when we needed to have decisions made (such as paint color) and when payments were due. Everything ran on schedule as expected, which is a true testament to the quality of their crews and their experience. The space looks beautiful and we would highly recommend them to family and friends!

We are extremely happy with our basement! Jon and Leah were great to work with and ensured that the work they did met the needs and desires we had. They were on top of everything and kept us informed every step of the way, and stayed on schedule. We also added a few extra custom pieces to the basement and they were patient and understanding thru that process as well, and only passed on the cost of the work/materials with no mark up for themselves.
