Bruce Johnson & Associates Interior Design

This is a review for: 1. An Interior Kitchen and Master Bed/Bath Renovation Completed December 2015 2. An Exterior Renovation Completed September 2017 3. The Service After Completion Our home is a Queen Anne replica so it was important to work with someone who would be sensitive to the character of our home. Bruce was nothing short of amazing! With a natural talent for the use of space, light and color, he incorporated period features in both renovations: recessed tin ceiling, appropriate cabinet profiles/hardware, re-use of a clawfoot tub, period plumbing fixtures, exterior fish scale shingles, corbels, shadow boards and running trim. Talk about the WOW and "curb appeal" factors when everything was done! IMPORTANTLY it's been 5 years since our interior renos were completed. The product selections have passed the test of that five years: functional, durable and still stylish. Over time and the benefit of constant use, we continue to be impressed with the layout of the kitchen and master bath. So completely thought out! Bruce is practical, patient and always available for questions. He's also not shy to have suppliers redo work that he's not happy with. Both renos were on time and on budget! After the renovations, Bruce has made a point of addressing small items that have come up: a broken blind cord for example. He takes care of his clients. Such great after service! Easy to give a 5 star review when the service is so excellent! Highly recommend!

Bruce and his team provided exceptional service during our house build a few years ago. We hadn't been through the build process before and Bruce's guidance was invaluable in selecting finishings for each space. He also had helpful ideas on how to maximize the utility of each room and worked closely with our builder to realize our vision. With a patient and personable approach to working with his clients, he ensured we were always comfortable with each decision and was able to provide several options to consider. My husband and I did a total home renovation and Bruce had his challenges with me because I knew EXACTLY what I wanted! Bruce was recommended to us by our contractor, and we found him very easy to work with. He listened to our ideas, and incorporated them into our design. We renovated our entire house to the studs, and he worked with us from the original design to hanging pictures at the end. Bruce is very talented at what he does. Mostly he is very respectful of your tastes and never imposes his own. He does really beautiful furniture and fabrics and his window coverings are fabulous. Mostly he is a real gentleman and very easy to work with and get along with.

I hire Bruce Johnson to design my whole house renovation. From start to finish he was very professional. We always worked together as I team and he was able to turn my ideas into reality. His designs were not only beautiful but they were innovative and functional. He listens to the needs of his clients. Some highlights: 1. The powder room - back light agate, waterfall vanity , white bronze sink, floor to ceiling walnut,tile and mirror. 2. The library - clean design, with enough space to house my twin's desks and a project table. 3. Basement media/rec room - large pub style table on wheels to function as an island in front of the mini bar or it rolls behind leather sectional sofa and used as second roll seating for the big TVs. 4. Kitchen nook - turning my kitchen nook into a sitting area with swivel chairs to enjoy the outside or inside view. I do not have a big house but It is now beautiful and functional. I walk around everyday loving my new place.
