principles of design
This corner of this room is very harmonious. The pale sky blue of the chair is also in the objects on the shelf/side table (i.e. the vase, both framed pictures, etc.) It also has a nice rhythm with the pops of crotchet'd colour, and the honey oak wood in the chair and the basket. Squares and rectangles are also throughout this corner in the square shelves, the chair seat, and the pillow.
This space is very asymmetrical. It makes use of very abstract shapes, and doesn't have a lot of harsh corners. A nice rhythm is created with bright colours like orange, pink, and teal. It also could be argued that there is some radial balance, since the chairs surround the circular rug and spherical ceiling light.
This kitchen is beautiful. It's very rhythmic, and the green cabinets compliment the plants both inside and outside. The yellow lemons and appliances add some harmony, and I like how the colour white isn't really used as the "default" anywhere; instead it's like an accent colour, appearing only in the window and kitchenwear. The blue cabinets also compliment the rest of the kitchen beautifully.
The rhythm in this corner of this kitchen is lovely. The bright pops of red, yellows, blue, and teal create a really nice rhythm.
