DOWNLOAD NOW This homeowner’s daughter originally contacted us on behalf of her parents who were reluctant to begin the remodeling process in their home due to the inconvenience and dust. Once we met and they dipped their toes into the process, we were off to the races. The existing bathroom in this beautiful historical 1920’s home, had not been updated since the 70’/80’s as evidenced by the blue carpeting, mirrored walls and dropped ceilings. In addition, there was very little storage, and some health setbacks had made the bathroom difficult to maneuver with its tub shower. Once we demoed, we discovered everything we expected to find in a home that had not been updated for many years. We got to work bringing all the electrical and plumbing up to code, and it was just as dusty and dirty as the homeowner’s anticipated! Once the space was demoed, we got to work building our new plan. We eliminated the existing tub and created a large walk-in curb-less shower. An existing closet was eliminated and in its place, we planned a custom built in with spots for linens, jewelry and general storage. Because of the small space, we had to be very creative with the shower footprint, so we clipped one of the walls for more clearance behind the sink. The bathroom features a beautiful custom mosaic floor tile as well as tiled walls throughout the space. This required lots of coordination between the carpenter and tile setter to make sure that the framing and tile design were all properly aligned. We worked around an existing radiator and a unique original leaded window that was architecturally significant to the façade of the home. We had a lot of extra depth behind the original toilet location, so we built the wall out a bit, moved the toilet forward and then created some extra storage space behind the commode. We settled on mirrored mullioned doors to bounce lots of light around the smaller space. We also went back and forth on deciding between a single and double vanity, and in the end decided the single vanity allowed for more counter space, more storage below and for the design to breath a bit in the smaller space. I’m so happy with this decision! To build on the luxurious feel of the space, we added a heated towel bar and heated flooring. One of the concerns the homeowners had was having a comfortable floor to walk on. They realized that carpet was not a very practical solution but liked the comfort it had provided. Heated floors are the perfect solution. The room is decidedly traditional from its intricate mosaic marble floor to the calacutta marble clad walls. Elegant gold chandelier style fixtures, marble countertops and Morris & Co. beaded wallpaper provide an opulent feel to the space. The gray monochromatic pallet keeps it feeling fresh and up-to-date. The beautiful leaded glass window is an important architectural feature at the front of the house. In the summertime, the homeowners love having the window open for fresh air and ventilation. We love it too! The curb-less shower features a small fold down bench that can be used if needed and folded up when not. The shower also features a custom niche for storing shampoo and other hair products. The linear drain is built into the tilework and is barely visible. A frameless glass door that swings both in and out completes the luxurious feel. The cool blue and gray color palette of this master bath design creates a soothing space to unwind or get ready for the day. HomeCrest Brenner maple cabinetry in a gray finish includes a central tower cabinet that separates the two Kohler Caxton undermount sinks and adds extra storage. The Kohler Fairfax faucets complement the cabinetry hardware, as well as the Kohler towel bar, towel ring, and robe hooks. The Kohler Cimarron toilet has a built-in shelf above it and floor to ceiling glass shelves are built into a nook between the toilet and shower. The soothing shower includes Ice Gray Pebbles shower floor, a frameless custom enclosure from Maryland Shower, and a Q Quartz Calcatta Venice threshold, and a linear mosaic tile trim. The bathroom design also includes a pocket door, plus wall sconces and a pendant light that add sparkle to the room.

We love this recent grey-tone remodel fit with a larger shower and re-vamped his and hers spaces. The main goal for this space was to provide a better functioning space for our clients while also giving the style and finishes a fresh and updated look. This grey-tone bathroom started as an outdated space that turned into a spa-like serene space. Get all the details below! But first, see what this space looked like before: Cabinets The existing cabinets were repurposed and re finished with a grey paint matching Kitchen Craft’s “Cirrus”. This grey finish sets the tone for all the other grey elements in this calming space. Countertops The countertop features a 3cm quartz from Caesarstone in a Concrete finish. Incorporating a sleek and high quality product ensures it can withstand splashes from the sink and daily wear and tear. Overall, a wonderful product for the bathroom space! Backsplash The tile selection is really what makes a huge impact in the bathroom space. It adds texture, shine, and a little sparkle to the room. The main floor and the interior shower wall features a 12×24 Spark Smokey Glimmer from Daltile. The shower floor features a 1×1 Uptwon Glass Matte Frost Moka from Daltile. Lastly, as an accent splash by the vanities, shampoo box, soap box, and exterior shower fall features a mosaic Gem Pearl Sea Cave from Interceramic. Fixtures and Fittings The plumbing fixtures in this space are bronze finish that gives a subtle glow to the space. From Delta we have the Vero shower diverter, shower control, and sink faucets in a Champagne Bronze finish. From Dryden we have a handheld shower head in Brilliance Champagne Bronze. Lastly, from Kohler we have Vox Square vessel sinks in White.

This luxurious master bathroom is a good mix between traditional and transitional, a perfect representation of the homeowners. They wanted our honest advice and opinions, as this is not their strong suite, so we put our designers to work. They wanted an updated master bathroom with a timeless, yet not too trendy look, but still flow into the style of their existing home. We kept the layout of the bathroom the same but removed all finishes and started with a clean slate. We installed a beautiful freestanding pedestal tub which is surrounded by Arabescato Carrara honed marble walls and flooring. The shower floor and accent also has the Arabescato Carrara but in a herringbone pattern which adds nice detail work. The clients like everything to have a place and wanted easy storage solutions out of sight, so the bathroom looks clean. To accomplish this, two shower niches were placed above the built in bench to hide the shampoo bottles, as well as one at the end of the bathtub. Speakman Anystream brushed nickel shower head and Rohl Verona Satin Nickel hand shower, trim and grab bar were installed in the shower, as well as a fogless shower mirror, so the client can shave while he’s in the shower. All new recessed panel soft close cabinets were installed and we added a seated make-up area to her vanity. Three beautiful antiqued silver leaf vanity mirrors were installed bringing out the traditional touch to this bathroom. Each mirror was flanked with Thomas O’Brien Bryant vanity sconces. And to top it all off, the simple Oona 6-light pendant hung from the barrel vaulted ceiling painted in deep purple adding a unique touch to this beautiful classic bathroom. These homeowners wanted to freshen up their master bath and at the same time, improve it's overall function and retain/accentuate it's vintage qualities. There was nothing wrong with the hex tile floor, toilet, or vintage tub. The toilet was repurposed, the floor was cleaned up, and the tub refinished. Cabinetry and vintage trim was added in critical locations along with a new, taller one-sink vanity. We were so delighted to be able to bring to life our fresh take and new renovation on a picturesque bathroom. A scene of symmetry, quite pleasing to the eye, the counter and sink area was cultivated to be a clean space, with hidden storage on the side of each elongated mirror, and a center section with seating for getting ready each day. It is highlighted by the shiny silver elements of the hardware and sink fixtures that enhance the sleek lines and look of this vanity area. Lit by a thin elegant sconce and decorated in a pathway of stunning tile mosaic this is the focal point of the master bathroom. Following the tile paths further into the bathroom brings one to the large glass shower, with its own intricate tile detailing within leading up the walls to the waterfall feature. Equipped with everything from shower seating and a towel heater, to a secluded toilet area able to be hidden by a pocket door, this master bathroom is impeccably furnished.
