This bathroom design was based around its key Architectural feature: the stunning curved window. Looking out of this window whilst using the basin or bathing was key in our Spatial layout decision making. A vanity unit was designed to fit the cavity of the window perfectly whilst providing ample storage and surface space. Part of a bigger Project to be photographed soon! Danville Primary Bathroom Remodel

The objective of these Danville homeowners was to update their primary bathroom, making more efficient use of their existing space without moving any plumbing. With the desired tub and tub filler in mind, Gayler shopped the country to find what the homeowners wanted. Their old soaking tub took up a lot of room, so it was replaced with a new freestanding tub retrofitted with a polished gold tub filler coming up from the floor. Two large single vanities in a dark stain are topped with white Statuario polished Pental quartz countertops and backsplash. Completing the look is unique polished gold hardware and a large, walk-in shower with a beautiful mosaic feature wall and shower niche. Large wide plank tile floors and soft gray and white patterned wallpaper complete the look.

By removing the tall towers on both sides of the vanity and keeping the shelves open below, we were able to work with the existing vanity. It was refinished and received a marble top and backsplash as well as new sinks and faucets. We used a long, wide mirror to keep the face feeling as bright and light as possible and to reflect the pretty view from the window above the freestanding tub.

Kitchen Design Concepts

This bold jack and jill bathroom centers around the color black making a statement piece out of this entire room. Faucets, accessories, and shower fixtures are from Kohler's Purist collection in Matte Black. The commode, also from Kohler, is a One-Piece from the Santa Rosa collection, making it easy to keep clean. Floor tile is White Thassos Honed from Marble Systems. The main wall surround tile and matching pencil liners came from Daltile - their Antico Scuro Honed material. Wall tile is an 8x36 plank-style set in a brick lay. The accent wall in the shower is from Renaissance Tile, as well as teh shower floor and liners. White Thassos is used on the floor, while a White Thassos Cheveron pattern with Sand Dollar strips (mosaic) in White polished covers the accent wall. A clear glass shower entry with black clamps and hardware lets you see the design without sacrifice.

New Moroccan Villa on the Santa Barbara Riviera, overlooking the Pacific ocean and the city. In this terra cotta and deep blue home, we used natural stone mosaics and glass mosaics, along with custom carved stone columns. Every room is colorful with deep, rich colors. In the master bath we used blue stone mosaics on the groin vaulted ceiling of the shower. All the lighting was designed and made in Marrakesh, as were many furniture pieces. The entry black and white columns are also imported from Morocco. We also designed the carved doors and had them made in Marrakesh. Cabinetry doors we designed were carved in Canada. The carved plaster molding were made especially for us, and all was shipped in a large container (just before covid-19 hit the shipping world!) Thank you to our wonderful craftsman and enthusiastic vendors! Project designed by Maraya Interior Design. Carrera marble in all its glory is the big show stopper in this Bolton Hill rowhome master bath renovation. What started as a cramped, chopped up room was opened into a sparkling, luxurious space evocative of timeless Old World mansion baths. The result demonstrates what’s possible when mixing multiple marble tile shapes, colors and patterns. To visually frame the bathroom, we installed 6” x 12” honed Carrera marble tiles laid in a herringbone pattern for wainscotting, and carried the same marble pattern into the shower stall in order to create depth and dimension. The wainscotting is set off by beautifully-detailed Carrera marble chair rail and black tile pencil moulding. Carrera hex shower tiles, marble sills and bench, and intricate Carrera and black mosaic flooring complete the marble details. The crisp white double vanity and inconspicuous builtins tastefully compliment the marble, and the brass cabinet hardware, mirrors and plumbing and lighting fixtures add a burst of color to the room.
