We were asked to design and plant the driveway and gardens surrounding a substantial period property in Cobham. Our Scandinavian clients wanted a soft and natural look to the planting. We used long flowering shrubs and perennials to extend the season of flower, and combined them with a mix of beautifully textured evergreen plants to give year-round structure. We also mixed in a range of grasses for movement which also give a more contemporary look.

A very large country garden in Buckinghamshire I designed that is divided into several rooms & distinct areas. There is a secret garden, a kitchen garden with raised beds & a bespoke Alitex greenhouse, a private courtyard, parterre, large pond, woodland & beautiful entrance to this very large Georgian house

As part of this Replacement Dwelling Development, this area between the two large Oak Framed Buildings has been created to form a focal feature in between both buildings. A once totally over grown shaded area due to 20 Leylandi trees being in this part of the Developments Curtilage, this now lovely sunny area has been carefully landscaped with a wonderful dry stone curved wall, with Oak cleft gates and Oak raised beds with Box Ball 'Cloud' Planting. Recalimed York Stone Flags and Setts have also been used and allowing the Oak of the buildings and raised beds to naturally 'silver' will go onto compliment the beautiful 200 year old stone. The Dry Stone wall is soon to be capped off with bull nosed stone coping stones. Pretty Pink structural Tulips have been planted for Spring Colour and pretty feathery Cosmos has been planted for Summer Planting. The Box Balls remain a constant structural planting element all year round and look stunning when frost covered. John Cullen low level Lighting in the raised beds and walk way allow these raised beds to look stunning in the evening.

Raised vegetable boxes were designed on the south side for maximum sun exposure with a hillside behind it designed as a fruit orchard space. Walkways around the house with accenting gravel beds that capture drainage creates easy access and a contemporary style.

Our Deakin project’s oversized yellow feature pot has been the talk of the town. Our design brief was to create a Palm Springs inspired, low maintenance garden to compliment their mid-century modern influenced renovation. The addition of the yellow pot was the request of our clients and as you can see it’s a stunning focal point for their front garden.

It was important for the clients to have a large usable driveway. Keeping with the traditional style of the house we used modern materials in similar tones to create this beautiful driveway. It was constructed from resin bound gravel and edged with 100x200mm harvest sawn sandstone cobble setts which enhance the sweeping curved shape of the space
