These homeowners were looking to up their hosting game by modernizing their property to create the ultimate entertainment space. A custom outdoor kitchen was added with a top of the line Delta Heat grill and a special nook for a Big Green Egg. Flagstone was added to create asymmetrical walkways throughout the yard that extended into a ring around the fire pit. Four rectangular trellises were added along the fence and shed, with an all metal pergola located at the back of the pool. This unique structure immediately draws the eye and adds a playful, artistic element to the rest of the space. The use of various sized rocks, gravel, and flagstone give a rough texture that creates a symbiosis with the metalwork. Silver Falls Dichondra creates a beautiful contrast to the rocks and can be found all over the property along with various other grasses, ferns, and agave. A large area of gravel rests on the side of the house, giving the client room to park a recreational vehicle. In front, a privacy fence was added along one of the property lines, leading into a drought resistant, eco-friendly section of yard. This fence, coupled with a giant boulder, doubles as a safety precaution in case drivers miss the turn and run into their lawn. This updated landscaping adds an effortless flow for guests to move from the front yard to the back while creating a very open, welcoming feel to all who enter.

Our client contacted us wanting to create a relatively maintenance free yard that focuses on relaxing family time spent in the sun as opposed to yard work. We designed and built the project utilizing synthetic grass, aggregate bedding and wonderful paving stone patio with a large cedar privacy pergola as the main focal point. Lighting & concrete edging along with step stones finished off this stunning project!!

luminaires du jardin. Situé sur la colline de Saint-Cloud, cette demeure résolument contemporaine, flanquée d’une piscine sur mesure en construction, donne sur le paysage urbain de Paris. Comme une extension de la maison, la terrasse dialogue avec l’espace intérieur par sa forme et par les matériaux utilisés : un salon extérieur minimaliste prolonge l’espace intime du salon intérieur. Les baies vitrées donnent donc à la fois sur la ville et sur un surprenant jardin aux multiples facettes, selon la direction où le regard se porte. Le jardin est structuré selon l’ensoleillement plus ou moins important du terrain. Là où le sol est humide et parfois ombragé, une végétation exotique a naturellement trouvé sa place. Des plantes aux larges feuilles donnent au jardin un aspect sauvage, tout comme le jeu sur les hauteurs variées des arbres et arbustes. Là où le soleil est davantage présent se trouvent des plantes xérophiles. Un mélange de textures et de formes créent des contrastes forts qui donnent du caractère à l’ensemble. C’est également l’effet voulu grâce au camaïeu de vert, des couleurs claires des yuccas rostrata, nolinas, eucalyptus, senecios... tranchant avec des verts plus profonds. La fontaine qui jouxte la piscine, véritable refuge pour les insectes et les oiseaux, est entourée d’une végétation plus rustique évoquant les zones humides naturelles. Reflet de la singularité de cette maison d’architecte, le jardin compte plusieurs arbres et vivaces rares.
