Aménagement du jardin privé pour des particuliers basés à Villennes-sur-Seine. Le jardin entour la maison et est aménagé de petits espaces permettant son utilisation pour différents usages. La conception est pensée avec une cohérence paysagère de l'ensemble de la parcelle. La maison située au centre du jardin, offre des points de vue sur des scènes du jardin. L'ensemble du paysage amène le visiteur à se tourner vers la Seine, clou du spectacle de ce terrain exceptionnel. La terrasse en bois surplombe le jardin et est bordée de massifs de vivaces fleuries et naturelles. Les haies monotones et monospécifiques sont remplacées par des haies champêtres et à leurs pieds des massifs plantés viennent faire du jardin une promenade ponctuée de petits espaces de repos ou de lecture agréable. An under-utilised corner of the garden was transformed into a romantic apiary, or bee-yard, featuring brightly painted hives and vintage furniture. The pebbles are a practical surface for working on the hives and retain water for the plants. Plants selected are a mix of bee-friendly perennials, herbs and vegetables, including dahlia, salvia leucanthe, anenome japonica and dianthus, buckwheat, blue kale, rhubarb, and silver lemon thyme. Dans ce jardin, tout est sujet à la surprise, à la rêverie et à la promenade. Des chemins dessinent le jardin et le cadencent, des arbres en relation avec le paysage environnant le structurent tandis que les associations végétales, composées de vivaces et de graminées, lui assurent une ambiance fraîche et dynamique en toute saison.

In place of lawns, this area was transformed into a Flagstone courtyard with Fire Pit and large enough to accomodate a dining table. Colorful perennial flowers fill this garden with beauty and fragrance. Along the top of the wall are planted strawberries, herbs and roses for easy access from the kitchen door.

Edible landscaping encompasses much more then adding some veggie beds to one’s property. Creative layouts and material usage can incorporate year-round vegetable harvests in an aesthetically pleasing way. Planting scheme providing a lush rain forest mossy feel, where Soleirolia soleirolii, Adiantum and Pinus mugo mounds have spread amazingly. Hydrangeas, scented geraniums and campanula colour the space during Summer - Autumn, and the very mature Jasmine (pre-existing) is an absolute delight. Container planting is scattered around with annual planting for year-round interest, where a large Olive tree provides height. The large mirror with wood step blends beautifully and makes believe there's an extension to this small garden.

For the past 17 years, Gary Duff Designs has collaborated with the creative team at the Make-A-Wish Foundation to design and construct the fantastical ideas of children across the country. In this Long Island backyard, we recently built this beautiful princess dream home for a young girl, giving her a space for tea time, games, and endless afternoons of boundless imagination. The surrounding patio and hardscapes provide the perfect gathering spot for family and friends.
