The original floor plan had to be restructured due to design flaws. The location of the door to the toilet caused you to hit your knee on the toilet bowl when entering the bathroom. While sitting on the toilet, the vanity would touch your side. This required proper relocation of the plumbing DWV and supply to the Powder Room. The existing delaminating vanity was also replaced with a Custom Vanity with Stiletto Furniture Feet and Aged Gray Stain. The vanity was complimented by a Carrera Marble Countertop with a Traditional Ogee Edge. A Custom site milled Shiplap wall, Beadboard Ceiling, and Crown Moulding details were added to elevate the small space. The existing tile floor was removed and replaced with new raw oak hardwood which needed to be blended into the existing oak hardwood. Then finished with special walnut stain and polyurethane.

This builder-house was purchased by a young couple with high taste and style. In order to personalize and elevate it, each room was given special attention down to the smallest details. Inspiration was gathered from multiple European influences, especially French style. The outcome was a home that makes you never want to leave.

This powder room underwent an amazing transformation. From mixed matched colors to a beautiful black and gold space, this bathroom is to die for. Inside is brand new floor tiles and wall paint along with an all new shower and floating vanity. The walls are covered in a snake skin like wall paper with black wainscoting to accent. A half way was added to conceal the toilet and create more privacy. Gold fixtures and a lovely gold chandelier light up the space perfectly.

This pink powder room (wall color is a custom color that started with Porter Paints Rose Pomander as the base) packs a lot of glamor into a small space. The vanity is a Franz Viegner Casablanca lavatory with a white ceramic bowl. The faucet is a Brizio Charlotte in Cocoa Bronze. Zebra wood cabinets were used in this powder bathroom to make this room stand out. The flat doors, the linear lines and the hardware all help make this floating vanity more like furniture than like traditional cabinets. The round mirror above offers great visual contrast and the chandelier chosen is a show stopper. Topped with a black quartz countertop and a white vessel sink, this vanity is one that all guest will remember.

Give a small space maximum impact. A found architectural element set off the design. Pure white painted pedestal and white stone sink stand out against the black. New chair rail added - crown molding used to give chunkier feel. Wall paper having some fun and antique mirror connecting to the history of the pedestal.

Wrapping the whole powder room is whimsical bird wallpaper called “A Twitter”. The verticality of the wallpaper as well as our papering of the entire area, expands the room, and gives the illusion of space. Continuing this illusion, an elongated, frameless mirror is flanked by wall mounted sconces which point toward the ceiling. Note how the sconces mimic the branches of the wall paper, while the oil rubbed bronze finish complements the overall feel of this traditional home. Photography by Chrissy Racho.
