We were referred by one of our best clients to help these clients re-imagine the main level public space of their new-to-them home. They felt the home was nicely done, just not their style. They chose the house for the location, pool in the backyard and amazing basement space with theater and bar. At the very first walk through we started throwing out big ideas, like removing all the walls, new kitchen layout, metal staircase, grand, but modern fireplace. They loved it all and said that this is the forever home... so not that money doesn't matter, but they want to do it once and love it. Tschida Construction was our partner-in-crime and we brought the house from formal to modern with some really cool features. Our favorites were the faux concrete two story fireplace, the mirrored french doors at the front entry that allows you to see out but not in, and the statement quartzite island counter stone.

This bathroom had lacked storage with a pedestal sink. The yellow walls and dark tiled floors made the space feel dated and old. We updated the bathroom with light bright light blue paint, rich blue vanity cabinet, and black and white Design Evo flooring. With a smaller mirror, we are able to add in a light above the vanity. This helped the space feel bigger and updated with the fixtures and cabinet.

The custom vanity by Old Mill Wood Works sets the stage for the quartz counter top from Viatera USA in minuet, fabricated by Counterfitters, and it flows naturally with the shiplap from Guerry Lumber, and paints from Benjamin Moore, all in coherence with the California Faucets in satin chrome finish sourced by Sandpiper, and light fixtures from Circa Lighting, all helped to create a light, modern feel in this 1800’s Historic Savannah home.

This modern farmhouse in Vienna showcases our studio’s signature style of uniting California-cool style with Midwestern traditional. Double islands in the kitchen offer loads of counter space and can function as dining and workstations. The black-and-white palette lends a modern vibe to the setup. This compact powder bath is gorgeous but hard to photograph. Not shown is fabulous Walker Zanger white marble floor tile with dark navy and light blue accents. (Same material can be seen on backsplash wall of Butler's Pantry in kitchen photo) Quartzite countertop is same as kitchen bar and niche buffet in dining room and has a 3" flat miter edge. Aged brass modern LED wall sconces are installed in mirror. Gray blue cork wallcovering has gold metal accents for added shimmer and modern flair.

When a client in Santa Cruz decided to add on to her Arts and Crafts bungalow, she created enough space for a new powder room, and we looked to the very nearby ocean for inspiration. This coastal-themed bathroom features a very special wallpaper designed by legendary Italian designer Piero Fornasetti, and made by Cole & Sons in England.
