Our rescued Japanese maple on the right. Last year we rescued her from a house the neighborhood that was being demolished. One year later, almost to the day, the big hackberry dhading her came down due to carpenter ants. So we had to transplant the poor refugee maple a second time, in August. But she's happy and doing fine with her cousins in the courtyard.
