Shutters Penthouse

The bold use of colours is a refreshing change from all the standard boring beige interiors out there. The use of white on the main walls and larger pieces of furniture balance out the drama. There are several exotic pieces that give this space a worldly atmosphere, from the egyptian metal light fixtures with an islamic design perforated to let the light through, to the colourful antique persian patchwork carpets and the ikat fabric on the drapery panels. The velvet damask fabric on the upholstered dining chairs ties the entire colour scheme together and contrasts the white lacquered dining table.
