A Traditional style, wall to wall bespoke bookcase. This feature book case was made for a customer in Macclesfield. This bookcase uses traditional joinery and classic mouldings to create the look. Made from a combination of tulip wood fronts and oak internals, the project was then spray finished with Farrow & Ball No.26 - Down pipe, which gives a sense of drama and complexity to the piece. A lovely project to be involved with, and one of our personal favourites. All carefully designed, made and fitted in-house by Davies and Foster.

Modern - Interior Design projects by J Design Group Miami. http://www.JDesignGroup.com JW Magazine publishes a client’s luxury waterfront condo in Miami and she states: WHEN JENNIFER CORREDOR OF THE J Design Group designed this 2- bedroom, 2½-bath, waterfront condo in Miami, her biggest challenge was to add color and create a dining area out of a small but charming space. The Coral Gables-based designer had never met the couple when they hired her earlier this year to transform their 15thfloor, 2000-square-foot vacation home into a modern, minimalist stunner with splashy sub-tropical colors. The globe-trotting, Barcelona-based executive and his engineer wife had seen Corredor’s work on the Internet and were blown away by her use of art, color and clean design to create a livable environment. They learned through continuous telephone conversations that the designer understood how to utilize the beauty of Miami and its dazzling waterfront while keeping the home spare, lean and bright. So they hired her at the end of January to work her magic on their new American home “This was a fascinating project that moved at lightning speed,” says Corredor, a native of Jamaica. “The wife is Colombian and the husband is Canadian. They live in Spain with their two children, and basically hired me by phone to furnish their condo.But I had changes in mind to help them enjoy Miami. And they agreed.” For example, Corredor thought the powder room needed to be dressed up, so she changed the doors to become modern and warm with clean lines. She also ordered a special green glass treatment that she designed and had installed by K&G. She added a green frosted glass pedestal sink and matching green sun fixture on the wall. For the den/guest room, she added a glass partition and worked to transform a dark and somber space into a playful palette of bold color. “I added a red wall in geometric design and a frosted door outlined with exotic wood,” she says. “I used furnishings to make the den lively, including a modern carpet from Sweden, and I added punches of color.” For the difficult dining area, she incorporated the table into an island junction off of the kitchen, adding a clever vignette that is both functional and fashionable. The dining table was custom designed, produced and installed by the Miami Wall Unit Group, a company that knows how to incorporate furniture into tight spaces. “The island is used for dining and doing work,” the designer says. “The family can eat at the table, and for other purposes that they choose, it also becomes a standard island. This is a vacation home, so the family doesn’t cook much. But they will spend more time here now that the design is complete.” Corredor found just the right places in the kitchen to add color. The backspash shines in aqua glass emulating tones from the ocean, and the vivid green bar stools which double as dining chairs by Icon Furniture blend with the earth tones of the cabinets, bases and countertops as well as the stainless steel appliances. Bold greens in the floral art work hanging on the wall are intended to capture the purity of Miami and play off of the color of the bar stools. The contemporary living room/family room is another brilliant use of color on white, which again, started as a virtual blank palette. With great floor-to-ceiling window/door views of Biscayne Bay leading to Key Biscayne, the designer had to decide what colors would work with the outside sneaking in via a spacious balcony. So she found a bold orange contemporary painting to hang above the white sofa made of versatile Alcantara fabric from KMP Furniture. She picked a splashy orange and white throw rug to go over the Opus Stone floors. The orange painting brings out the orange in the rug, adding understated zip to the room. Atop the rug is an imported tempered glass coffee table curved underneath for magazines. White swivel chairs round out the vignette. She designed a green wall as the backdrop to the Samsung LED7000 TV and used cable lighting and sconces to complete the ambience in this room. The outdoor colors work well with the great water views visible through the window/doors. Similarly, the master bedroom has beautiful bay views with the blue of the water and sky dominating a full side of the room from window/doors leading to the balcony. The room has a hushed silence in pure white repeated by the low, modern, king-sized bed appointed in white with a beige pillow. Above is a rectangular framed painting absent of bright color but for yellow. To perk up the room and accentuate the yellow, Corredor added a red swivel chair, which plays off of the hanging pendant lamps in red glass. “We are in Miami and with an all-white apartment, I had to bring back warmth and color,” she laughs. “Besides, the clients wanted something different from what they have in Barcelona. I made it refreshing and revitalizing.” The children’s room also has the water views and features a pair of Trundle beds with white side tables and lamps with glass shades on pedestals from WestElm. The walls are off white so the designer added a sassy green stripe to jazz it up. “This room is different from what you would expect,” says Corredor. “I wanted the stripe across the wall to add both color and design to the all-white room. People like color, and I love to integrate it into these wonderful water views.” She went for more outdoor colors on the balcony that wraps around the condo. Green bean bag chairs surround a modern resin coffee table with stained glass legs, continuing on the outside what she had accomplished inside. “We did quite a bit in a short amount of time, and it all blends to showcase the beauty of the water,” she says. It’s no secret that Corredor loves her work. To recreate such a bland space into a spectacular contemporary condo in less than a year is quite a task. But the clients gave her free reign to do her thing, and they have no regrets. “I feel exhilarated when I look at the finished product,” says Corredor. “I do every project with heart. But I feel especially proud of this one and am pleased with the materials we selected. In the end, it is all about the client’s happiness. This large family home in Brockley had incredible proportions & beautiful period details, which the owners lovingly restored and which we used as the focus of the redecoration. A mix of muted colours & traditional shapes contrast with bolder deep blues, black, mid-century furniture & contemporary patterns.

Где находится (если не секрет): Москва, Соколиная Гора Метраж: 80 м2 Стиль (как бы вы его сами определили): Артистический интерьер Основная идея проекта: создать яркое артистичное пространство с множеством деталей, подчеркивающее характер его владельцев. Цветовая гамма: смешанная гамма, композиция теплых и холодных оттенков. 1. Особенности планировки. В квартире имеется спальня с эркером, гостиная и отдельная кухня. До перепланировки помещения были мало освещенными и тесными. За счёт объединения гостиной и кухни, а также цветовой палитры удалось создать достаточно светлый, жизнерадостный интерьер. Кухню с подведенным газом, как и требуют правила, отделили от гостиной герметичной перегородкой. В квартире присутствует помещение, в котором находится законсервированный мусоропровод, который не удалось удалить, без согласования всех жильцов дома, а их, к слову, оказалось не мало (в 135 квартирах). В итоге в этой комнате расположился гардероб и дополнительные места для хранения. Прихожая продолжается длинным коридором, имеющим большой шкаф с множеством мест для хранения одежды и костюмов, которые наши герои создают для музыкальных фестивалей. С противоположной стороны расположен вход в спальню 2. Если можно, пару слов о заказчиках. Основные пожелания заказчиков. Владельцы квартиры – творческие и неординарные молодые люди, приобрели себе квартиру площадью 80 м2 в доме 1956 года, которая отчаянно требовала ремонта. Ребята круто играют на гитарах, ежегодно участвуют в музыкальных фестивалях и фестивалях Burning Man, а еще успешно занимаются созданием световых инсталляций. Заказчики в первую очередь хотели создать необычное пространство, которое вдохновляло бы их на творческие порывы и отражало их внутренние миры. 3. Какие декораторские и архитектурные приемы вы использовали в оформлении этого интерьера. Особую атмосферу при входе в спальню создают парадные двустворчатые двери, которые привносят особую эстетику и дополняют образ спальни. Пол и фартук в кухне декорированы орнаментом английской плитки, которая напоминает советскую. Спальня светлая, свежая и яркая, как и ее обитатели. Цветовая гамма - чистые ясные оттенки голубого и синего. В изголовье кровати Обои с узором по мотивам керамики местечка Кап-д’Ай, что на юго-востоке Франции, который символизирует слияние неба и земли на растительном фоне, как слияние мужского и женского. Растительный мотив поддерживает кровать и тумбы из природных материалов. Интерьер наполнен предметами искусства, которые придали пространству лёгкие ироничные нотки. Чтобы шкаф в гостиной не выглядел просто шкафом, на его фасадах мы расположили печатную графику и декор, теперь он напоминает больше стеновые панели, нежели гардероб. 4. У меня в голове возникла история. Жизнь, как игра, она жонглирует разными событиями, ситуациями, а мы всегда учимся поймать и отреагировать на то или иное. Весь интерьер, как заказчики - активный и наполнен адреналином. В интерьере много цветного стекла, совсем как шарики жонглера, а скульптура Льва Ефимова (синие пенящиеся шары) словно символ пойманных и сложенных воедино пойманных моментов и впечатлений. Литография на стене — это ещё один символ легкости бытия и позитивного отношения к жизни. Дизайнерские светильники в гостиной — это отражение легкости мысли. А скульптура в спальне на подоконнике, говорит о течении времени и каждый раз просыпаясь утром, возникает понимание, что жизнь течёт и нужно наслаждаться ей и стремиться сделать много нового и с любовью, нового и вместе. «Вместе» — это о литографии в прихожей «Поцелуй». Эта работа, с входа в квартиру говорит о гармонии и ярких отношениях пары, а скульптура на консоли из стекла вторит этой работе, красное и голубое стекло сплелось в единую композицию. На мой взгляд - эти две работы из разных эпох, а словно созданы друг для друга. 5. Самым важным в этом проекте было вдохнуть вторую жизнь в обветшалое и сало похожее на жилище пространство. Впервые попав на объект, мы даже не знали за что схватиться первым делом. Задачи были повсюду, начиная от мусоропровода в середине квартиры и заканчивая стенами, которые были в шатком состоянии. 6. В каждом помещении есть акценты и образующие интерьер конструкции, например в кухне-гостиной это перегородка из стекла, которая выглядит легко, но в то же время зонирует пространство. В спальне акцент на эркер, это первое что понравилось в квартире, когда мы зашли, много света из окон большой плюс особенно зимой.

When the homeowners purchased this sprawling 1950’s rambler, the aesthetics would have discouraged all but the most intrepid. The décor was an unfortunate time capsule from the early 70s. And not in the cool way - in the what-were-they-thinking way. When unsightly wall-to-wall carpeting and heavy obtrusive draperies were removed, they discovered the room rested on a slab. Knowing carpet or vinyl was not a desirable option, they selected honed marble. Situated between the formal living room and kitchen, the family room is now a perfect spot for casual lounging in front of the television. The space proffers additional duty for hosting casual meals in front of the fireplace and rowdy game nights. The designer’s inspiration for a room resembling a cozy club came from an English pub located in the countryside of Cotswold. With extreme winters and cold feet, they installed radiant heat under the marble to achieve year 'round warmth. The time-honored, existing millwork was painted the same shade of British racing green adorning the adjacent kitchen's judiciously-chosen details. Reclaimed light fixtures both flanking the walls and suspended from the ceiling are dimmable to add to the room's cozy charms. Floor-to-ceiling windows on either side of the space provide ample natural light to provide relief to the sumptuous color palette. A whimsical collection of art, artifacts and textiles buttress the club atmosphere.

The design of the home was a combination of both gather places where time could be spent together, as well as places of separation; like the suites on a cruise ship.

Designer Cyndie McManus redesigned a retired couple’s Isle of Palms condo to create a calm beachside retreat. Inspired by nature – the beach, sand and water – Cyndie created a design palette with coastal colors and patterns. The condo is full of seaside hues like soft greens and blues mixed with white and wooden textures. Cyndie even refinished some of the couple’s furniture herself by distressing some of the wood and adding a fresh coat of paint to other pieces. She continued her seaside theme into the guest bedroom, where she added a pop of coral to their nightstand, which she painted herself. The neutral starfish patterned custom draperies added to the decor and coastal flair. A second bedroom continued the inviting palette with blues and greens. We love the fabric she chose for the bedspread.
