This 7,000 square foot space located is a modern weekend getaway for a modern family of four. The owners were looking for a designer who could fuse their love of art and elegant furnishings with the practicality that would fit their lifestyle. They owned the land and wanted to build their new home from the ground up. Betty Wasserman Art & Interiors, Ltd. was a natural fit to make their vision a reality. Upon entering the house, you are immediately drawn to the clean, contemporary space that greets your eye. A curtain wall of glass with sliding doors, along the back of the house, allows everyone to enjoy the harbor views and a calming connection to the outdoors from any vantage point, simultaneously allowing watchful parents to keep an eye on the children in the pool while relaxing indoors. Here, as in all her projects, Betty focused on the interaction between pattern and texture, industrial and organic. This client wanted a deep corner tub that was easy to get into, so we created some small steps with a handrail and accented them with some fun red glass. The vessel sinks are from oceana glass and add a nice finishing touch.

This is the ultimate dream teen room. The floral wallpaper is the backdrop for the upholstered pink bed. The open dressing room with black and white marble floors and the oversized chandelier make for the perfect place to try clothes with friends. The bathroom features a built in vanity and large soaking tub. No detail has been overlooked in creating this unique gorgeous teen space.

A neutral color palette punctuated by warm wood tones and large windows create a comfortable, natural environment that combines casual southern living with European coastal elegance. The 10-foot tall pocket doors leading to a covered porch were designed in collaboration with the architect for seamless indoor-outdoor living. Decorative house accents including stunning wallpapers, vintage tumbled bricks, and colorful walls create visual interest throughout the space. Take a look at this full bathroom remodel we performed in Portland! We re-did the floors, installing gorgeous marble flooring we simply love. We also took the shower and transformed into a big, open shower with a body spray. We used a classic marble look for the tile with a fun hexagon tile on the floor.
