This one is near and dear to my heart. Not only is it in my own backyard, it is also the first remodel project I've gotten to do for myself! This space was previously a detached two car garage in our backyard. Seeing it transform from such a utilitarian, dingy garage to a bright and cheery little retreat was so much fun and so rewarding! This space was slated to be an AirBNB from the start and I knew I wanted to design it for the adventure seeker, the savvy traveler, and those who appreciate all the little design details . My goal was to make a warm and inviting space that our guests would look forward to coming back to after a full day of exploring the city or gorgeous mountains and trails that define the Pacific Northwest. I also wanted to make a few bold choices, like the hunter green kitchen cabinets or patterned tile, because while a lot of people might be too timid to make those choice for their own home, who doesn't love trying it on for a few days?At the end of the day I am so happy with how it all turned out! --- Project designed by interior design studio Kimberlee Marie Interiors. The bathtub was placed on a diagonal under the window and next to the walk-in shower. The black framed shower door coordinates with the matte black tub faucet that is deck mounted straight on to the bathtub.

When your primary bathroom isn't large, it's so important to address the storage needs. By taking out the built in tub, and adding in a freestanding tub, we were able to gain some length for our vanity. We removed the dropped soffit over the mirrors and in the shower to increase visual space and take advantage of the vaulted ceiling. Interest was added by mixing the finish of the fixtures. The shower and tub fixtures are Vibrant Brushed Moderne Brass, and the faucets and all accessories are matte black. We used a patterned floor to create interest and a large format (24" x 48") tile to visually enlarge the shower. This primary bath is a mix of cools and warms and is now a high functioning space for the owners.

This project shows a shower / bath and vanity counter remodel. 12" x 24" porcelain tile shower walls and tub deck with Light Beige Schluter Jolly coated aluminum profile edge. 4" custom mosaic accent band on shower walls, tub backsplash and vanity backsplash. Tiled shower niche with Schluter Floral patter Shelf-N and matching . Schluter drain in Brushed Nickel. Dual undermount sink vanity countertop using Silestone Eternal Marfil 3cm quartz. We used the concept of a European wet room to maximize shower space. The natural and aqua color scheme is carried through here and seen in the unique tile inset. The straight lines of the brick set tile are offset by the organic pebble floor.

This bathtub shower combination looks fantastic. An alcove tub with large format ceramic shower wall tile and black shower fixtures and valves. The glass sliding shower door has black barn door hardware. Black Schluter trim for the large shower niche and shower tile edges.

This personal vanity area of the primary bath offers plenty of storage for makeup, brushes, and the often-requested salon drawer for electrical equipment.
