Bright and fun bathroom featuring a floating, navy, custom vanity, decorative, patterned, floor tile that leads into a step down shower with a linear drain. The transom window above the vanity adds natural light to the space.

This bathroom was designed for specifically for my clients’ overnight guests. My clients felt their previous bathroom was too light and sparse looking and asked for a more intimate and moodier look. The mirror, tapware and bathroom fixtures have all been chosen for their soft gradual curves which create a flow on effect to each other, even the tiles were chosen for their flowy patterns. The smoked bronze lighting, door hardware, including doorstops were specified to work with the gun metal tapware. A 2-metre row of deep storage drawers’ float above the floor, these are stained in a custom inky blue colour – the interiors are done in Indian Ink Melamine. The existing entrance door has also been stained in the same dark blue timber stain to give a continuous and purposeful look to the room. A moody and textural material pallet was specified, this made up of dark burnished metal look porcelain tiles, a lighter grey rock salt porcelain tile which were specified to flow from the hallway into the bathroom and up the back wall. A wall has been designed to divide the toilet and the vanity and create a more private area for the toilet so its dominance in the room is minimised - the focal areas are the large shower at the end of the room bath and vanity. The freestanding bath has its own tumbled natural limestone stone wall with a long-recessed shelving niche behind the bath - smooth tiles for the internal surrounds which are mitred to the rough outer tiles all carefully planned to ensure the best and most practical solution was achieved. The vanity top is also a feature element, made in Bengal black stone with specially designed grooves creating a rock edge.

The clients summer vacation home had an extra large walk-in closet in the primary bedroom. Since the room did not have an attached bathroom, and an oversized closet wasn't necessary with it being a seasonal home and having an excess of storage elsewhere- we decided to use the space to create a Primary Suite. The client picked a wonderful blue palette that compliments the views of the lake outside so perfectly. We added a custom double vanity with plenty of storage, a large, glass walk-in shower and lots of pretty details she picked out in all the tile work.

Bathroom remodel with decorative shaker style, flat panel maple vanity cabinet, painted with custom color, Benjamin Moore Ocean City Blue, and polished nickel cabinet hardware. Quartz countertop - MSI Monaco, floor to ceiling ceramic wall tile, custom shower with frameless glass panels and hinged doors, limestone hexagon floor tile, heated floors, Brizo brushed nickel plumbing fixtures, and a Toto toilet.

The theme for the design of these four bathrooms was Coastal Americana. My clients wanted classic designs that incorporated color, a coastal feel, and were fun. The master bathroom stands out with the interesting mix of tile. We maximized the tall sloped ceiling with the glass tile accent wall behind the freestanding bath tub. A simple sandblasted "wave" glass panel separates the wet area. Shiplap walls, satin bronze fixtures, and wood details add to the beachy feel. The three guest bathrooms, while having tile in common, each have their own unique vanities and accents. Curbless showers and frameless glass opened these rooms up to feel more spacious. The bits of blue in the floor tile lends just the right pop of blue. Custom fabric roman shades in each room soften the look and add extra style.

The name of the flooring in this guest bath is purely southern, "Buttered Pecan" - we love the name and the geometric look of it! The detailed plans for this bathroom can be purchased here: https://www.changeyourbathroom.com/shop/felicitous-flora-bathroom-plans/ The original layout of this bathroom underutilized the spacious floor plan and had an entryway out into the living room as well as a poorly placed entry between the toilet and the shower into the master suite. The new floor plan offered more privacy for the water closet and cozier area for the round tub. A more spacious shower was created by shrinking the floor plan - by bringing the wall of the former living room entry into the bathroom it created a deeper shower space and the additional depth behind the wall offered deep towel storage. A living plant wall thrives and enjoys the humidity each time the shower is used. An oak wood wall gives a natural ambiance for a relaxing, nature inspired bathroom experience.

The navy blue vanity is a gorgeous statement in this contemporary bathroom. The navy blue finish was accented with a round timber handle. A round mirror was used to play up the circular elements in the room, and pale blue pendants draw the eye to the area.
