The hall bathroom was designed with a new grey/blue furniture style vanity, giving the space a splash of color, and topped with a pure white Porcelain integrated sink. A new tub was installed with a tall but thin-framed sliding glass door—a thoughtful design to accommodate taller family and guests. The shower walls were finished in a Porcelain marble-looking tile to match the vanity and floor tile, a beautiful deep blue that also grounds the space and pulls everything together. All-in-all, Gayler Design Build took a small cramped bathroom and made it feel spacious and airy, even without a window!

This guest bath has a light and airy feel with an organic element and pop of color. The custom vanity is in a midtown jade aqua-green PPG paint Holy Glen. It provides ample storage while giving contrast to the white and brass elements. A playful use of mixed metal finishes gives the bathroom an up-dated look. The 3 light sconce is gold and black with glass globes that tie the gold cross handle plumbing fixtures and matte black hardware and bathroom accessories together. The quartz countertop has gold veining that adds additional warmth to the space. The acacia wood framed mirror with a natural interior edge gives the bathroom an organic warm feel that carries into the curb-less shower through the use of warn toned river rock. White subway tile in an offset pattern is used on all three walls in the shower and carried over to the vanity backsplash. The shower has a tall niche with quartz shelves providing lots of space for storing shower necessities. The river rock from the shower floor is carried to the back of the niche to add visual interest to the white subway shower wall as well as a black Schluter edge detail. The shower has a frameless glass rolling shower door with matte black hardware to give the this smaller bathroom an open feel and allow the natural light in. There is a gold handheld shower fixture with a cross handle detail that looks amazing against the white subway tile wall. Do you love this tile! To keep things simple and less busy, we opted for a white grout to avoid busy grout lines.

Hexagon porcelain wall tiles surround tub and shower walls. Ceramic 12 x 12 floor tile with brushed cement effect adds to this fresh look. Painted gray double vanity includes undermount sinks, and silestone pearl jasmine countertops. Custom closet cabinetry provides ample storage. These repeat clients had remodeled almost their entire home with us except this bathroom! They decided they wanted to add a powder bath to increase the value of their home. What is now a powder bath and guest bath/walk-in closet, used to be one second master bathroom. You could access it from either the hallway or through the guest bedroom, so the entries were already there. Structurally, the only major change was closing in a window and changing the size of another. Originally, there was two smaller vertical windows, so we closed off one and increased the size of the other. The remaining window is now 5' wide x 12' high and was placed up above the vanity mirrors. Three sconces were installed on either side and between the two mirrors to add more light. The new shower/tub was placed where the closet used to be and what used to be the water closet, became the new walk-in closet. There is plenty of room in the guest bath with functionality and flow and there is just enough room in the powder bath. The design and finishes chosen in these bathrooms are eclectic, which matches the rest of their house perfectly! They have an entire house "their style" and have now added the luxury of another bathroom to this already amazing home. Contemporary interpolation to a classical bathroom. The materials used here is Marble... yes Marble! we have gray sandblasted marble on the floor in Versailles pattern to give the bathroom floor depth and sensation of space, we used pure high grade Thasos marble cut to 18x6 too be placed in a staggered pattern (brick pattern) Just look at that pure white marble look. To finish the edges installation of a pencil liner from same material and to add some trim a gray marble linear trim line was installed with same color pencil liner to border it. The classical furniture vanity comes in dark gray to compliment the flooring and the top is the classical Carrara marble material. Notice the bi-fold doors on the right, looks like a linen cabinet but it’s not. Due to lack of space in the house (this is a small craftsman home in the hills of Glendale) we were requested to bring the laundry from the basement to the house and so we did. Those bi-fold doors you are looking at are hiding the stackable washer and dryer. To finish everything off all the fixtures are in a great Kohler vibrant polished nickel finish.
