Complete with a standing shower, the room successfully incorporates elements of various styles toward a harmonious end. The vanity was a cabinet from Arhaus Furniture that was used for a store staging. Raymond and Jennifer purchased the marble top and put it on themselves. Jennifer had the lighting made by a husband-and-wife team that she found on Instagram. "Because social media is a great tool, it is also helpful to support small businesses. With just a little hash tagging and the right people to follow, you can find the most amazing things," she says. The residence received a full gut renovation to create a modern coastal retreat vacation home. This was achieved by using a neutral color pallet of sands and blues with organic accents juxtaposed with custom furniture’s clean lines and soft textures.

What was once a basic powder room is now fresh, sophisticated and ready for your guests. A powder room can become a stunning focal point by installing a mosaic stone floor and grasscloth wallpaper in vinyl. By replacing dated fixtures with something more high-end in a brushed warm metal finish, unexpected painted dark blue trim adds drama, visual interest, contrast and brings a decorative touch to your powder room.

For the bathroom, we went for a moody and classic look. Sticking with a black and white color palette, we have chosen a classic subway tile for the shower walls and a black and white hex for the bathroom floor. The black vanity and floral wallpaper brought some emotion into the space and adding the champagne brass plumbing fixtures and brass mirror was the perfect pop.

In this bathroom, we updated the existing vanity with a new Corian Venaro White countertop with coved backsplash. Corian Venaro White was installed on the shower enclosure with a custom shower seat and a custom frameless shower door in brushed nickel. On the flooring Calacatta 12x12 tile floor with programmable touch heated flooring. An Aarcher elongated seat toilet in white was installed.

The tiny powder bath becomes a dramatic jewel box with the addition of this graphic wallpaper and the mirror that fades to clear glass (project completed while I was Lead Designer at Urbanspace Interiors)

This artistic and design-forward family approached us at the beginning of the pandemic with a design prompt to blend their love of midcentury modern design with their Caribbean roots. With her parents originating from Trinidad & Tobago and his parents from Jamaica, they wanted their home to be an authentic representation of their heritage, with a midcentury modern twist. We found inspiration from a colorful Trinidad & Tobago tourism poster that they already owned and carried the tropical colors throughout the house — rich blues in the main bathroom, deep greens and oranges in the powder bathroom, mustard yellow in the dining room and guest bathroom, and sage green in the kitchen. This project was featured on Dwell in January 2022.

Our designers transformed this small hall bathroom into a chic powder room. The bright wallpaper creates grabs your attention and pairs perfectly with the simple quartz countertop and stylish custom vanity. Notice the custom matching shower curtain, a finishing touch that makes this bathroom shine.
