Private house Milano, 2020 Credits: project and DL by Alessio La Paglia Architecture. Casa AA è il risultato di un intervento mirato a coniugare comfort abitativo e design contemporaneo all'interno di un appartamento di 90 mq situato nella zona Portello-Villapizzone di Milano. Gli ambienti, distribuiti in maniera piuttosto regolare, non erano però dotati di un secondo bagno. L'ottimizzazione degli spazi ha consentito la realizzazione di uno spazio privato per la camera master. Il piccolo ambiente è munito di tutti i comfort, dalla doccia con nicchia e getto a cascata all'illuminazione studiata per le diverse esigenze. La luce diretta è fornita dai faretti a soffitto, quella soffusa dalle strip led incastonate nella nicchia e sulla vela sospesa. Le accensioni sono controllate da un rilevatore di presenza che ne attiva il contatto. Rivestimenti scuri con venauture chiare dialogano con i toni miele del parquet in rovere delle camere da letto e contrastano con la rubinetteria nera opaca.

We updated this century-old iconic Edwardian San Francisco home to meet the homeowners' modern-day requirements while still retaining the original charm and architecture. The color palette was earthy and warm to play nicely with the warm wood tones found in the original wood floors, trim, doors and casework.

The clients wanted to take their old powder room from Drab to Fab with some old fashioned hollywood glam. Millwork was used on the lower walls to create recessed panels which like the crown molding at the ceiling were painted with black lacquer. The upper half of the walls are covered in a black and honey bronze grass cloth in a geometric pattern from York Wallcoverings. A fun and whimsical mirror from Wildwood Lamps balances the pattern in the paper. Floating bubble crystal pendants from Hubbardton Forge add a luminescent glow to the space. The floors are tiled in an espresso colored "wood" with a bronze greek key accent from Versace Collection through Wayne Tile of Ramsey. Clean lined white fixtures are reflected in the high gloss paint. Finally a custom faux painted ceiling gold and bronze top it all off in style.

Our client wanted to create a classic bathroom with a beachy vibe for her daughter. A small marble hexagon on the floor, white wainscotting on the walls, & a beautiful white Kohler pedestal sink help to achieve this updated traditional look.

We completely gutted and renovated this DC rowhouse and added a three-story rear addition and a roof deck. On the main floor the new powder room has a freestanding sink and a mirrored back wall behind the vanity.

Bathroom Interior Design Project in Richmond, West London We were approached by a couple who had seen our work and were keen for us to mastermind their project for them. They had lived in this house in Richmond, West London for a number of years so when the time came to embark upon an interior design project, they wanted to get all their ducks in a row first. We spent many hours together, brainstorming ideas and formulating a tight interior design brief prior to hitting the drawing board. Reimagining the interior of an old building comes pretty easily when you’re working with a gorgeous property like this. The proportions of the windows and doors were deserving of emphasis. The layouts lent themselves so well to virtually any style of interior design. For this reason we love working on period houses. It was quickly decided that we would extend the house at the rear to accommodate the new kitchen-diner. The Shaker-style kitchen was made bespoke by a specialist joiner, and hand painted in Farrow & Ball eggshell. We had three brightly coloured glass pendants made bespoke by Curiousa & Curiousa, which provide an elegant wash of light over the island. The initial brief for this project came through very clearly in our brainstorming sessions. As we expected, we were all very much in harmony when it came to the design style and general aesthetic of the interiors. In the entrance hall, staircases and landings for example, we wanted to create an immediate ‘wow factor’. To get this effect, we specified our signature ‘in-your-face’ Roger Oates stair runners! A quirky wallpaper by Cole & Son and some statement plants pull together the scheme nicely.
