Both Adam and Alicia Coffey had conveyed to the design team that they enjoyed East Coast flair with modern touches. Before renovations began they were still uncertain about how the designers at One Week Bath would manage to execute a redesign that reflected their individual tastes, but that still conveyed the luxurious and intimate appeal that so many homeowners strive for when remodeling their home. Much to their delight, One Week Bath exceeded their expectations.

Rectangular Shaker style bathroom with a slight arch at the front featuring a Toto Neorest “magic toilet”. It’s a mother’s dream. When you approach it, the seat goes up. Once your business is finished, on a comfortably heated seat I might add, it flushes automatically and the seats close. There is also a built-in heated bidet - a Covid-19 "who cares if you run out of toilet paper because now, we hardly use any” - epic coup!. Also featuring Brizo brushed gold faucetry, a bubble massage soaking tub, porcelain subway tile in the tub/shower area only; the other walls have nickel shiplap wall treatment, The floor features mixed porcelain tiles in an octagon pattern. Lighted mirrors have adjusting light sensors.

VonTobelValpo designer Jim Bolka went above and beyond with this farmhouse bathroom remodel featuring Boral waterproof shiplap walls & ceilings, dual-vanities with Amerock vanity knobs & pulls, & Kohler drop-in sinks, mirror & wall mounted lights. The shower features Daltile pebbled floor, Grohe custom shower valves, a MGM glass shower door & Thermasol steam cam lights. The solid acrylic freestanding tub is by MTI & the wall-mounted toilet & bidet are by Toto. A Schluter heated floor system ensures the owner won’t get a chill in the winter. This Grant Park house was built in 1999. With that said, this bathroom was dated, builder grade with a tiny shower (3 ft x 3 ft) and a large jacuzzi-style 90s tub. The client was interested in a much larger shower, and he really wanted a sauna if squeeze it in there. Because this bathroom was tight, I decided we could potentially go into the large walk-in closet and expand to include a sauna. The client was looking for a refreshing coastal theme, a feel good space that was completely different than what existed. Every surface of this bathroom was changed. We specified new cabinets for more storage and to balance the space better. The previous vanity was too low. We changed this to standard height. We gave the client double sinks and new medicine cabinets and lighting. This guest bathroom uses whites and taupes and simple lines to create a serene bathroom. Hexagon tiles were used on the floors and in the large shower we repeated with hexagon motif with a small scale hexagon glass tiles. The new shower area is now a bright space. Simple luxury!
