We paired a gorgeous, boho patterned floor tile with a warm oak double sink vanity and bold matte black fixtures to make this basement bathroom really pop. Our signature black grid shower glass really helped tie the whole space together.

Guest Bathroom remodel in North Fork vacation house. The stone floor flows straight through to the shower eliminating the need for a curb. A stationary glass panel keeps the water in and eliminates the need for a door. Mother of pearl tile on the long wall with a recessed niche creates a soft focal wall.

The client came to us to assist with transforming their small family cabin into a year-round residence that would continue the family legacy. The home was originally built by our client’s grandfather so keeping much of the existing interior woodwork and stone masonry fireplace was a must. They did not want to lose the rustic look and the warmth of the pine paneling. The view of Lake Michigan was also to be maintained. It was important to keep the home nestled within its surroundings. There was a need to update the kitchen, add a laundry & mud room, install insulation, add a heating & cooling system, provide additional bedrooms and more bathrooms. The addition to the home needed to look intentional and provide plenty of room for the entire family to be together. Low maintenance exterior finish materials were used for the siding and trims as well as natural field stones at the base to match the original cabin’s charm.

Primary Bathroom is a long rectangle with two sink vanity areas. There is an opening splitting the two which is the entrance to the master closet. Shower room beyond . Lacquered solid walnut countertops at the floating vanities.

Updated Spec Home: Basement Bathroom In our Updated Spec Home: Basement Bath, we reveal the newest addition to my mom and sister’s home – a half bath in the Basement. Since they were spending so much time in their Basement Family Room, the need to add a bath on that level quickly became apparent. Fortunately, they had unfinished storage area we could borrow from to make a nice size 8′ x 5′ bath. Working with a Budget and a Sister We were working with a budget, but as usual, my sister and I blew the budget on this awesome patterned tile flooring. (Don’t worry design clients – I can stick to a budget when my sister is not around to be a bad influence!). With that said, I do think this flooring makes a great focal point for the bath and worth the expense! On the Walls We painted the walls Sherwin Williams Sea Salt (SW6204). Then, we brought in lots of interest and color with this gorgeous acrylic wrapped canvas art and oversized decorative medallions. All of the plumbing fixtures, lighting and vanity were purchased at a local big box store. We were able to find streamlined options that work great in the space. We used brushed nickel as a light and airy metal option. As you can see this Updated Spec Home: Basement Bath is a functional and fabulous addition to this gorgeous home. Part of the 1st floor renovation was giving the powder room a facelift. There was an underutilized shower in this room that we removed and replaced with storage. We then installed a new vanity, countertop, tile floor and plumbing fixtures. The homeowners chose a fun and beautiful wallpaper to finish the space.

We certainly like the large bathtub and double vanity, the natural stone flooring and pillars and arched windows. This space feels sumptuous, to say the least.

The guest bathroom of our SW17 Heaver Estate family home was originally dated and dark, so we changed the entrance to make it en-suite and accessible from the guest bedroom, tiled throughout & painted it in a terracotta pink to make it feel cosier
