Extensive redesign and refurbishment of a luxurious residence in the heart of exclusive Penarth. Di Oro Interiors was commissioned to design the interiors and decorative scheme for this vast property. The brief was to create a glamorous and functional family home befitting of our client’s refined taste. Di Oro Interiors specified internal finishes, bespoke furniture and soft furnishings for this elegant townhouse. Luxurious materials and finishes were chosen for all the bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas soon to be photographed in the new year.

This home was hit hard with a sever winter storm and had approximately 12 pipe leaks in 3 different parts of the house. We replaced the damaged drywall and insulation, repainted the entire house and replace the aging laminate with Innova Collection SPC Sandpoint planking. We also did a bathroom remodel which included relocating the master shower and a frameless glass surround while we where there.

Previously this was a small 3 piece bathroom and a 2 piece ensuite. We combined both bathrooms to create a more spacious functional design.

The walls and floor are lined with lined with red travertine stone. We love the use of mirror here to make the overall bathroom look larger. The custom marble vanity table was designed to be a free standing piece of furniture.

Glamour and Modern details collide in this powder bath. The gold, oval mirror adds texture to a very sleek mirrored vanity. Copper and brass tones mix along mosaic trim that lines a sparkled metallic tiled backsplash. This space sparkles! Its an unexpected surprise to the contrasting black and white of this modern home. This award-winning whole house renovation of a circa 1875 single family home in the historic Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington DC provides the client with an open and more functional layout without requiring an addition. After major structural repairs and creating one uniform floor level and ceiling height, we were able to make a truly open concept main living level, achieving the main goal of the client. The large kitchen was designed for two busy home cooks who like to entertain, complete with a built-in mud bench. The water heater and air handler are hidden inside full height cabinetry. A new gas fireplace clad with reclaimed vintage bricks graces the dining room. A new hand-built staircase harkens to the home's historic past. The laundry was relocated to the second floor vestibule. The three upstairs bathrooms were fully updated as well. Final touches include new hardwood floor and color scheme throughout the home.

The warmth of wood in the guest bathroom. While the water is flowing, the tiles are flowing from the floor to the wall. This trendy interior design trend is especially interesting when it comes to wood finishing - parquet, laminate, dies. We used rectangular tiles with a light wood look. It starts on the floor and boldly enters the wall in the shower corner, fenced off by a transparent sash. To save space, the chrome-plated electric heated towel rail is placed right in the wet shower area.
