This beautiful master bathroom remodel entailed a few unique changes. This space was remodeled to be handicap accessible. The entrance to the master bath was widen and the dam was removed for easy entry making the shower a complete walk allowing for easy entering. In the shower the bench was elongated and tiled with Marfil 12x12 polishe3d marble tile. In the shower they depressed the drain in order to successfully make the space fully accessible in a wheel chair and installed multiple grab bars. Another feature in the shower was the Hansgrohe Green shower pipe with a rain head and hand shower with a thermostatic mixer and valve trim. Named after the Philippine province of Capiz from which the vast amount of the world's supply comes from, capiz shells have been used for centuries to accent furniture and accessories. The tranquil beauty and soft luster of these shells are transformed into brilliant mosaics in the Roxana Collection. Carefully cut and pieced together onto glass, each shell is all natural and contains random hues and lusters that contribute to its depth and beauty. This becomes apparent when lit, as the shell's translucency allows its characteristics to show through. Embedded within the mosaic is an attractive ring of amber and rose glass beads adding contrast and jewel-like qualities. With its cedar shake roof and siding, complemented by Swannanoa stone, this lakeside home conveys the Nantucket style beautifully. The overall home design promises views to be enjoyed inside as well as out with a lovely screened porch with a Chippendale railing. Throughout the home are unique and striking features. Antique doors frame the opening into the living room from the entry. The living room is anchored by an antique mirror integrated into the overmantle of the fireplace. The kitchen is designed for functionality with a 48” Subzero refrigerator and Wolf range. Add in the marble countertops and industrial pendants over the large island and you have a stunning area. Antique lighting and a 19th century armoire are paired with painted paneling to give an edge to the much-loved Nantucket style in the master. This bathroom is teeny tiny, and we couldn't change the original footprint. But using quality materials and light finishes made it feel new and bright, and perfectly suited to the elegance of the house. Beveled white tile, lots of Carrara marble, polished nickel fixtures, and period sconces all played a role in this spectacular facelift.

This was a reconfiguration of a small bathroom. We added a skylight above the shower to bring in more natural light and used a rich, green tile to ring in some color. The resulting space is a luxurious experience in a small package.

The new hall bath was relocated to an adjacent open play area that the kids had outgrown. We used a marble-look hex tile on the floor; the porcelain is durable and easy to maintain and the Calacatta look provides visual continuity with the ensuite bath. Elongated white subway tile keeps the bathroom feeling light and bright and a deep soaking tub means a relaxing spa-like bath is an option when needed. An open hall cubby space is currently used as the kids’ book nook, but could easily house linens and overflow bath supplies.
