This modern farmhouse bathroom has an extra large vanity with double sinks to make use of a longer rectangular bathroom. The wall behind the vanity has counter to ceiling Jeffrey Court white subway tiles that tie into the shower. There is a playful mix of metals throughout including the black framed round mirrors from CB2, brass & black sconces with glass globes from Shades of Light , and gold wall-mounted faucets from Phylrich. The countertop is quartz with some gold veining to pull the selections together. The charcoal navy custom vanity has ample storage including a pull-out laundry basket while providing contrast to the quartz countertop and brass hexagon cabinet hardware from CB2. This bathroom has a glass enclosed tub/shower that is tiled to the ceiling. White subway tiles are used on two sides with an accent deco tile wall with larger textured field tiles in a chevron pattern on the back wall. Referred by Barry at The Tile Shop, Landmark Remodeling and PID transformed this comically outdated space into a stunning retreat. We even paid homage to the LOVE tiles by including their grandkids in the tub as art in the space. We had a pretty tight budget and saved money by doing furniture pieces instead of custom cabinetry and doing a fiberglass shower base instead of a tiled shower pan.

This kids bathroom has some really beautiful custom details, including a reclaimed wood vanity cabinet, and custom concrete vanity countertop and sink. The shower enclosure has thassos marble tile walls with offset pattern. The niche is trimmed with thassos marble and has a herringbone patterned marble tile backsplash. The same marble herringbone tile is used for the shower floor. The shower bench has large-format thassos marble tiles as does the top of the shower dam. The bathroom floor is a large format grey marble tile. Seen in the mirror reflection are two large "rulers", which make interesting wall art and double as fun way to track the client's children's height. Fun, eh?

In collaboration with Darcy Tsung Design, we remodeled a long, narrow bathroom to include a lot of space-saving design: wall-mounted toilet, a barrier free shower, and a great deal of natural light via the existing skylight. The owners of the home plan to age in place, so we also added a grab bar in the shower along with a handheld shower for both easy cleaning and for showering while sitting on the floating bench.

The master suite was the last remnant of 1980’s (?) design within this renovated Charlottesville home. The intent of Alloy's renovation was to incorporate universal design principles into the couple's bathroom while bringing the clean modern design aesthetic from the rest of the house into their master suite. After drastically altering the footprint of the existing bathroom to accommodate an occupant with compromised mobility, the architecture of this project, void of color, became a study in texture. To define the individual spaces of bathroom and to create a clean but not cold space, we used white tiles of various sizes, format, and material. In addition, the maple flooring that we installed in the bedroom was carried into the dry zones of the bathroom, while radiant heating was installed in the floors to create both physical and perceptual warmth throughout. This project also involved a closet expansion that employs a modular closet system, and the installation of a new vanity in the master bedroom. The remainder of the renovations in the bedroom include a large sliding glass door that opens to the adjoining deck, new flooring, and new light fixtures throughout. Andrea Hubbell Photography

In this bathroom, the vanity was updated with a new Soapstone Metropolis quartz countertop with a 4” backsplash. Includes 2 Kohler Caxton undermount sinks. A Robert Flat Beveled Mirrored Medicine cabinet. Moen Wynford collection in Brushed Nickel includes 2 shower spa systems with 4 body sprays, handheld faucet, tub filler, paper holder, towel rings, robe hook. A Toto Aquia toilet color: Cotton. A Barclay Mystique 59” tub in white. A Custom Semi-frameless bypass Platinum Riviera Euro shower door. The tile in the shower is Moroccan Concrete 12x24 off white for the shower walls; Cultura Pebble Mosaic – Autumn for the shower floor and niches. An LED Trulux light with 3 zone touch plate for the shower ledge was installed. A heated towel bar. A Moen Eva 3 Bulb light in brushed nickel. On the floor is Mannington Swiss Oak-Almond luxury vinyl tile.

Creating specific focal points for this owner’s bathroom was important. Client wanted a modern-forward spa-like bathroom retreat. We created it by using rich colors to create contrast in the tile. We included lighted niches for the bathtub and shower as well as in the custom-built linen shelves. The large casement window opens up the space and the honeycomb gold chandelier really added a touch of elegance to the room while pulling out the gold tones in the floor and wall tile. We also included a contemporary 84” trough double vanity and a freestanding bath tub complete with a bath filler to complete the space.

A repeat client, wonderful to work with called us back to renovate his two guest bathrooms. 1. Converted a tub shower into a custom stand-up with tiles, bench and niches. 2. Replaced the tub and custom installed new tile walls, floors, vanity and paint.

The Hall bath is the next beautiful stop, a custom-made vanity, finished in Cedar Path, accented with champagne bronze fixtures. This bathroom is an awe-inspiring green oasis, with stunning gold embedded medicine cabinets, and Glazed Porcelain tile in Dark Gray Hexagon to finish off on the floor.
