The owners of this stately Adams Morgan rowhouse wanted to reconfigure rooms on the two upper levels to create a primary suite on the third floor and a better layout for the second floor. Our crews fully gutted and reframed the floors and walls of the front rooms, taking the opportunity of open walls to increase energy-efficiency with spray foam insulation at exposed exterior walls. The original third floor bedroom was open to the hallway and had an outdated, odd-shaped bathroom. We reframed the walls to create a suite with a master bedroom, closet and generous bath with a freestanding tub and shower. Double doors open from the bedroom to the closet, and another set of double doors lead to the bathroom. The classic black and white theme continues in this room. It has dark stained doors and trim, a black vanity with a marble top and honeycomb pattern black and white floor tile. A white soaking tub capped with an oversized chandelier sits under a window set with custom stained glass. The owners selected white subway tile for the vanity backsplash and shower walls. The shower walls and ceiling are tiled and matte black framed glass doors seal the shower so it can be used as a steam room. A pocket door with opaque glass separates the toilet from the main bath. The vanity mirrors were installed first, then our team set the tile around the mirrors. Gold light fixtures and hardware add the perfect polish to this black and white bath.

The Master bath with floating all wood vanity and wall mount faucets is light and bright giving a very clean feel with an always classic black and white palette. No feeling of crowing into the bathroom when two people are getting ready. Just wonderful open space.

In this guest cloakroom, luxury and bold design choices speak volumes. The walls are clad in an opulent wallpaper adorned with golden palm motifs set against a deep, matte black background, creating a rich and exotic tapestry. The sleek lines of a contemporary basin cabinet in a contrasting charcoal hue anchor the space, boasting clean, modern functionality. Above, a copper-toned round mirror reflects the intricate details and adds a touch of warmth, complementing the coolness of the dark tones. The herringbone-patterned flooring in dark slate provides a grounding element, its texture and color harmonizing with the room's overall decadence. Total renovation and reconfiguration of existing 1960s apartment, including the bathroom with adjacent toilet room. This apartment hadn't been renovated since it was built and had been tenanted for 40 years. The footprint is very small, so the partition wall dividing the toilet and bathroom was removed and the spaces integrated, providing important space to move and the room to function. The shower nib wall added a crucial extra 70mm to the internal shower box (900x900). Full height glazing with an internal direct ducted vent means limited steam escaping and entering the room. Chevron floor tile rolling into the shower base, gave texture an otherwise minimal room. The client didn't want a busy floor tile but the near white palette needed grounding. The chevron gives texture and grounding. The black floating vanity anchoring the eye at the mid level.

This stunning Modern Lux design remodel includes the primary (master) bathroom, bedroom, and closet. Our clients wanted to update their space to reflect their personal style. The large tile marble is carried out through the bathroom in the heated flooring and backsplash. The dark vanities and gold accents in the lighting, and fixtures throughout the space give an opulent feel. New hardwood floors were installed in the bedroom and custom closet. The space is just what our clients asked for bright, clean, sophisticated, modern, and luxurious!
