Ann Lowengart Interiors collaborated with Field Architecture and Dowbuilt on this dramatic Sonoma residence featuring three copper-clad pavilions connected by glass breezeways. The copper and red cedar siding echo the red bark of the Madrone trees, blending the built world with the natural world of the ridge-top compound. Retractable walls and limestone floors that extend outside to limestone pavers merge the interiors with the landscape. To complement the modernist architecture and the client's contemporary art collection, we selected and installed modern and artisanal furnishings in organic textures and an earthy color palette.

We completed the project with a three-quarter bath with a floor to ceiling textured subway tile shower, a full length niche for plenty of storage for all the soaps. It's contrasted with the black fixtures and black hex flooring. The open wooden shelves add another element to the space and provide easy access to bathroom necessities. Warm Bathroom in Woodingdean, East Sussex Designer Aron has created a simple design that works well across this family bathroom and cloakroom in Woodingdean. The Brief This Woodingdean client required redesign and rethink for a family bathroom and cloakroom. To keep things simple the design was to be replicated across both rooms, with ample storage to be incorporated into either space. The brief was relatively simple. A warm and homely design had to be accompanied by all standard bathroom inclusions. Design Elements To maximise storage space in the main bathroom the rear wall has been dedicated to storage. The ensure plenty of space for personal items fitted storage has been opted for, and Aron has specified a customised combination of units based upon the client’s storage requirements. Earthy grey wall tiles combine nicely with a chosen mosaic tile, which wraps around the entire room and cloakroom space. Chrome brassware from Vado and Puraflow are used on the semi-recessed basin, as well as showering and bathing functions. Special Inclusions The furniture was a key element of this project. It is primarily for storage, but in terms of design it has been chosen in this Light Grey Gloss finish to add a nice warmth to the family bathroom. By opting for fitted furniture it meant that a wall-to-wall appearance could be incorporated into the design, as well as a custom combination of units. Atop the furniture, Aron has used a marble effect laminate worktop which ties in nicely with the theme of the space. Project Highlight As mentioned the cloakroom utilises the same design, with the addition of a small cloakroom storage unit and sink from Deuco. Tile choices have also been replicated in this room to half-height. The mosaic tiles particularly look great here as they catch the light through the window. The End Result The result is a project that delivers upon the brief, with warm and homely tile choices and plenty of storage across the two rooms. This Paradise Model ATU is extra tall and grand! As you would in you have a couch for lounging, a 6 drawer dresser for clothing, and a seating area and closet that mirrors the kitchen. Quartz countertops waterfall over the side of the cabinets encasing them in stone. The custom kitchen cabinetry is sealed in a clear coat keeping the wood tone light. Black hardware accents with contrast to the light wood. A main-floor bedroom- no crawling in and out of bed. The wallpaper was an owner request; what do you think of their choice? The bathroom has natural edge Hawaiian mango wood slabs spanning the length of the bump-out: the vanity countertop and the shelf beneath. The entire bump-out-side wall is tiled floor to ceiling with a diamond print pattern. The shower follows the high contrast trend with one white wall and one black wall in matching square pearl finish. The warmth of the terra cotta floor adds earthy warmth that gives life to the wood. 3 wall lights hang down illuminating the vanity, though durning the day, you likely wont need it with the natural light shining in from two perfect angled long windows. This Paradise model was way customized. The biggest alterations were to remove the loft altogether and have one consistent roofline throughout. We were able to make the kitchen windows a bit taller because there was no loft we had to stay below over the kitchen. This ATU was perfect for an extra tall person. After editing out a loft, we had these big interior walls to work with and although we always have the high-up octagon windows on the interior walls to keep thing light and the flow coming through, we took it a step (or should I say foot) further and made the french pocket doors extra tall. This also made the shower wall tile and shower head extra tall. We added another ceiling fan above the kitchen and when all of those awning windows are opened up, all the hot air goes right up and out.

This beautiful estate is positioned with beautiful views and mountain sides around which is why the client loves it so much and never wants to leave. She has lots of pretty decor and treasures she had collected over the years of travelling and wanted to give the home a facelift and better display those items, including a Murano glass chandelier from Italy. The kitchen had a strange peninsula and dining nook that we removed and replaced with a kitchen continent (larger than an island) and built in around the patio door that hide outlets and controls and other supplies. We changed all the flooring, stairway and railing including the gallery area, fireplaces, entryway and many other touches, completely updating the downstairs. Upstairs we remodeled the master bathroom, walk-in closet and after everything was done, she loved it so much that she had us come back a few years later to add another patio door with built in downstairs and an elevator from the master suite to the great room and also opened to a spa outside.
