Have most (if not all) surfaces within your home clear of photos, knickknacks, books and dust so that all surfaces shiny. Especially the kitchen counters. Everything off. Take off all magnets and their holdings from the fridge too. Step #2: Pack what you have de-cluttered into boxes clearly labeled. Step #3: Purchase extra storage and move the little pieces of furniture, winter clothing and those personal treasures into it. Step #4: Make a list of minor repairs and check them off as they are completed.
