Private Outdoor Living with a Pergola and Lattice on a Cedar Deck

The dream deck design called for a rounded deck corner, which required some interesting framing techniques. It had to be “raccoon proof.” Repeating the lattice wall design around the rim joists below the deck solved the problem. Note the one-inch gap between deck and lawn for ventilation. Stair lights and two flush-mount deck lights by each column accent the Pergola at twilight.
