The A7 Series aluminum windows with triple-pane glazing were paired with custom-designed Ultra Lift and Slide doors to provide comfort, efficiency, and seamless design integration of fenestration products. Triple pane glazing units with high-performance spacers, low iron glass, multiple air seals, and a continuous thermal break make these windows and doors incomparable to the traditional aluminum window and door products of the past. Not to mention – these large-scale sliding doors have been fitted with motors hidden in the ceiling, which allow the doors to open flush into wall pockets at the press of a button. This seamless aluminum door system is a true custom solution for a homeowner that wanted the largest expanses of glass possible to disappear from sight with minimal effort. The enormous doors slide completely out of view, allowing the interior and exterior to blur into a single living space. By integrating the ultra-modern desert home into the surrounding landscape, this residence is able to adapt and evolve as the seasons change – providing a comfortable, beautiful, and luxurious environment all year long.

In the double-height great room, reclaimed hand-hewn timber frames evoke the feel of a countryside stable. Equestrian inspired artwork adorns the walls, mimicking the natural hues of a stable.

Accent stools provide additional seating in front of the hearth in this expansive traditional modern living room. Wood panelling makes a stunning impact, and light filters in through the entire wall of windows.

Control of the interior lighting allows one to set the ambience for listening to musical performances. Each instrument is connected to the Audio Distribution system so everyone may enjoy the performance; no mater where they are in the house. Audio controls allow precise volume adjustments of incoming and outgoing signals. Automatic shades protect the furnishings from sun damage and works with the Smart Thermostat to keep the environment at the right temperature all-year round. Freezing temperature sensors ensure the fireplace automatically ignites just in case the HVAC lost power or broke down. Contact sensors on the windows and door work with the home weather station to determine if windows/doors need to be closed when raining; not to mention the primary use with the security system to detect unwanted intruders.

The impressive family room features 22' high ceilings. Custom cabinetry and mantle piece, was designed by Sally Scott Interior Design, to house TV and provide display for treasured accessories. All furnishings are custom. Wool plaid wing chairs proudly flank the fireplace.

We like the way this custom living room is so rich and inviting.

Comfortable and elegant family living space, good for lounging, watching t.v. or entertaining. A soft plush and durable velvet gives the sofa a touchable texture and the leather ottomans are functional for storage and easy clean up.

In a luxury living space, the last thing anyone wants to see is a large ugly TV over a fireplace. Teaming up with Interior Expressions of Oro Valley, Arizona and well known local artist Beth Zink and her incredible cactus flowers, we worked in collaboration to turn this TV into a motorized painting that rolls up to reveal the TV with a giclee canvas piece of art. Special thanks to all involved and especially the end clients for allowing us to share photos of this amazing space with the rest of the world.
