The island and bank of cabinets against the end wall conceal a variety of different storage spaces, together with Siemens appliances and a Caple wine cooler, without disrupting the clean and neat lines of the rest of the room. The large grey mirror splashback behind the Quooker Fusion Black boiling water tap and sink, surrounded by subtle lighting, brings a focal point of lustre to the Lava Black laminate worktop and adjacent cabinets. And while someone standing at the sink has their back to the company, the mirror allows them to see what’s going on in the rest of the room and feel part of the activity. The island’s Dekton Aura worktop reflects light from the large picture windws and provides a crisp contrast to the Lava Black, while the unobtrusive Westlin ceiling extractor completes this meticulous design.
