This contemporary, costal Tiny Home features a bathroom with a shower built out over the tongue of the trailer it sits on saving space and creating space in the bathroom. This shower has it's own clear roofing giving the shower a skylight. This allows tons of light to shine in on the beautiful blue tiles that shape this corner shower. Stainless steel planters hold ferns giving the shower an outdoor feel. With sunlight, plants, and a rain shower head above the shower, it is just like an outdoor shower only with more convenience and privacy. The curved glass shower door gives the whole tiny home bathroom a bigger feel while letting light shine through to the rest of the bathroom. The blue tile shower has niches; built-in shower shelves to save space making your shower experience even better. The bathroom door is a pocket door, saving space in both the bathroom and kitchen to the other side. The frosted glass pocket door also allows light to shine through. This Tiny Home has a unique shower structure that points out over the tongue of the tiny house trailer. This provides much more room to the entire bathroom and centers the beautiful shower so that it is what you see looking through the bathroom door. The gorgeous blue tile is hit with natural sunlight from above allowed in to nurture the ferns by way of clear roofing. Yes, there is a skylight in the shower and plants making this shower conveniently located in your bathroom feel like an outdoor shower. It has a large rounded sliding glass door that lets the space feel open and well lit. There is even a frosted sliding pocket door that also lets light pass back and forth. There are built-in shelves to conserve space making the shower, bathroom, and thus the tiny house, feel larger, open and airy.

This master en-suite is accessed via a few steps from the bedroom, so the perspective on the space was a tricky one when it came to design. With lots of natural light, the brief was to keep the space fresh and clean, but also relaxing and sumptuous. Previously, the space was fragmented and was in need of a cohesive design. By placing the shower in the eaves at one end and the bath at the other, it gave a sense of balance and flow to the space. This is truly a beautiful space that feels calm and collected when you walk in – the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of modern life.

I designed this tiny powder room to fit in nicely on the 3rd floor of our Victorian row house, my office by day and our family room by night - complete with deck, sectional, TV, vintage fridge and wet bar. We sloped the ceiling of the powder room to allow for an internal skylight for natural light and to tuck the structure in nicely with the sloped ceiling of the roof. The bright Spanish tile pops agains the white walls and penny tile and works well with the black and white colour scheme. The backlit mirror and spot light provide ample light for this tiny but mighty space.

The new secondary bathroom is a very compact and efficient layout that shares the extra space provided by stepping the rear additions to the boundary. Behind the shower is a small shed accessed from the back deck, and the media wall in the living room takes a slice out of the space too. Plentiful light beams down through the Velux and the patterned wall tiles provide a playful backdrop to a simple black, white & timber pallete.

We expanded the attic of a historic row house to include the owner's suite. The addition involved raising the rear portion of roof behind the current peak to provide a full-height bedroom. The street-facing sloped roof and dormer were left intact to ensure the addition would not mar the historic facade by being visible to passers-by. We adapted the front dormer into a sweet and novel bathroom.
