We met these clients through a referral from a previous client. We renovated several rooms in their traditional-style farmhouse in Abington. The kitchen is farmhouse chic, with white cabinetry, black granite counters, Carrara marble subway tile backsplash, and a beverage center. The large island, with its white quartz counter, is multi-functional, with seating for five at the counter and a bench on the end with more seating, a microwave door, a prep sink and a large area for prep work, and loads of storage. The kitchen includes a large sitting area with a corner fireplace and wall mounted television. The multi-purpose mud room has custom built lockers for coats, shoes and bags, a built-in desk and shelving, and even space for kids to play! All three bathrooms use black and white in varied materials to create clean, classic spaces. RUDLOFF Custom Builders has won Best of Houzz for Customer Service in 2014, 2015 2016 and 2017. A bath makeover that evokes memories of places travelled from the inlaid wood and marble patterned tile from Italy, warm wood custom cabinetry with a horizontal grain and sleek handles. The white tiled walls and pale grey paint add modern calm to the serene space.

This other bathroom’s geometric floor tiling pattern comprises white marble and inset micro gray stone mosaic. A rectilinear gray vanity nicely compliments the tile work. Despite its somewhat compact scale, it provides adequate storage.

The shower walls are Syn-Mar engineered marble, a cast slab product similar to the engineered quartz used for countertops, in Poseidon (dark blue) and Hera (gray-blue). The Syn-Mar is easy-to-clean, mold and mildew resistant, requires no sealing, and is stronger and less brittle than natural stone. A full-height glass enclosure shows off the beauty of the shower walls.

In this master bathroom project, a fiberglass shower was removed and replaced with a more modern larger custom tiled shower with a frameless glass door. We were able to minimize clutter in this small space by adding custom drawers for storage while working around plumbing. An additional sink was added to make the room more functional. Lighted mirrors were utilized to simplify the design and eliminate the need for additional light fixtures, therefore removing visual clutter.
