This young professional family wanted a cozy gathering place for their family to make memories - playing games, sitting by the fire, reading with the grandparents. They wanted quality upholstery that would withstand their active family and energetic dog.

This fabulous family room takes advantage of both the entertainment FUNctionality needed within the room and the views of the outdoors! Anything is possible with a great team! Fresh white with a hint of grey creates a light and airy feeling in this cottage living room. A pretty striae fabric is featured on Flat Fold Roman Shades and is enhanced by green braided trim. A bold floral fabric is used on an updated wing back chair and is combined with a modern turquoise Greek key fabric. A bold green area rug anchors the seating area and a lovely scalloped drinks table provides storage and a practical surface for drinks near the chair. A sill height bookshelf houses reading material and houses a useful and decorative mercury glass lamp.

“I worked with my client in providing zoned living and entertaining areas of the highest standards. As a result, my client had an emphasis on creating a family environment in which they could entertain friends and family for any occasion. I immediately noticed the properties classic period façade when I met with my client at their property. The layout was very open which allowed me and my client to experiment with different colours and fabrics. By having a large expansive space we could use accent colours more strongly as they blended into the room easier than in a confined space. The use of the grey and white colour palette allowed for the space to remain bright and fresh. This was important as it made the space still feel expansive and welcoming” – Interior Designer Jane Gorman.

This casually elegant living room is both distisctive and inviting. The black mantel emphasizes the natural focal point of the space, the green marble fireplace. This teal hue is subtly reiterated in the rug, pillows and accessories. The strong black elements are perfectly balanced throughout the space. Ivory drapery panels with inset trim soften the edges of the space and make it welcoming to friends and family.

The first thing we did was to open up the ceilings so we have doubled the space. We designed and decorated during the pandemic so most of the art works and decorations are either from the owners' storage or online shopping. Beauty could be really found at the safety and comfort of your home and office. We ordered hand made the lamps from the porcelain vases and custom made the embroidery fabric for the sheer curtains and dining room upholstered chairs
