Aquamaintenance LimitedWe were contacted by our client to add an easy to clean filter, new UV and new pond pump, once installed, our client wanted the waterfall area that was once fed by his old system, reconstructed and replanted. The area had become over grown and the preformed waterfall had moved with all the plant growth and caused the waterfall to leek.
The area at the back of the waterfall was supported by concrete gravel boards that had moved and falling away. The new design was constructed out of new railway sleepers with a Japanese theme, and new planting.
The waterfall was lined with heavy duty underlay, and Firestone liner
The area behind the waterfall and rockery was to hide the new filter and to have an area under the paving for the waste water to drain away.
The design was centered around a beautiful Japanese cloud tree, the water from the filter is split into two so that the water cascades down both sides of the tree. The planting was completed with Japanese acers, and climbing plants up the sides of the pergola.

We used classic garden shaped throughout this garden to work with what was already happening in this space. Boxwoods help to define the space more. The patio area is squared natural bluestone pavers planted with a durable thyme ground cover. We also used brick edging throughout to separate spaces.
Jardines JaponesesEl espacio de este jardin tiene una ubicacion de privilegio dentro de la casa. Todas las areas comunes, incluyendo el comedor y la sala de estar estan directamente involucradas con este jardin. El desafio era realizar un espacio que desde al menos tres vistas fueran distintas. El simple echo de no tener un solo frente complicaba mucho la propuesta.
Como se puede ver en el conjunto de fotografias y el video, un rio seco divide la escena en dos mitades, pero que a su vez se vinculan entre si a traves de un camino de rocas. Este camino tiene la funcion de integrar ambas partes.
El cambio que se realizo en este jardin es muy notorio. Se incorporo un niwaki (arbol trabajado en forma de bonsai). El arbol en cuestion es un Pinus pentaphylla, una especie muy apropiada para este tipo de jardin. Enrique Acevedo Nancollas

The waterfall is not only essential to the health of the fish and the aquatic plants, but it adds soothing, relaxing background noise to throughout the backyard. Espalier apple trees grow on custom built supports along the back fence.

Miriam's River House Designs, LLCPhoto shows Japanese Tea House west side. The gravel path contains a Japanese dry river bed and an Inukshuk sculpture, metaphysically designed. The surrounding garden is the inner Roji garden and contains a Roji stepping stone path designed with a metaphysical pattern. pattern.
