TCP Custom Outdoor LivingThis homeowner wanted to create a pool house with a Mid-Century Modern appeal to match the look of their home. The actual structure is right at 836 SF with additional concrete added to connect the space to the existing pool. The pool house has a custom gas fireplace with contemporary stacked balls from Woodland Direct to give the space a unique look.

Quarry MillHeritage natural thin stone veneer from the Quarry Mill adds character to this double-sided outdoor fireplace. Heritage natural stone veneer offers a range of tans, ambers, and red tones in random rectangular shapes. The various sizes of this stone make it a great choice for large and small projects. Using Heritage on larger projects like chimneys, stone pillars or columns, and outdoor structures will transform them into earthy decorations. Smaller projects like accent walls or mailbox surrounds will provide a natural looking touch. The mix of colors and textures add diversity to any décor, making Heritage stone useful in any project.
Four Elements ConstructionOur clients wanted to create a backyard area to hang out and entertain with some privacy and protection from the elements. The initial vision was to simply build a large roof over one side of the existing deck while providing a little privacy. It was important to them to carefully integrate the new covered deck roofline into the existing home so that it looked it was there from day one. We had our partners at Draw Design help us with the initial drawings.
As work progressed, the scope of the project morphed into something more significant. Check out the outdoor built-in barbecue and seating area complete with custom cabinets, granite countertops, and beautiful outdoor gas fireplace. Stone pillars and black metal capping completed the look giving the structure a mountain resort feel. Extensive use of red cedar finished off the high ceilings and privacy screen. Landscaping and a new hot tub were added afterwards. The end result is truly jaw-dropping!
TATCOR Building & RemodelingMake your way over to the outdoor wood-burning fireplace! Follow the composite decking and railings to a gated section with ample seating next to a grand real stone on fireplace with flag stone tops. Keep back up wood in the two open shelves inside of the real stone walls surrounding the fireplace. But don’t think this is only a good space when the weather is a little cooler. In the warmer months, make this a great dining entertainment space by utilizing the built-in grill and warmers! Add your own decorative flare by maximizing the space provided by the large solid oak mantel from log core, smooth wall tops and the "step" added to the bottom of the fireplace/walls. Breath in the fresh air and listen to the symphony of nature as you watch the day come to an end. You won't be in the dark thanks to the strategic lighting added under the posts of the deck railing as well as lantern style light fixtures on top of the surrounding walls of the fireplace.

EcoDesign SDWe designed a complete backyard makeover, including a custom build fireplace, a matching customized BBQ with stone veneer and a patio cover for shade and string light installations. The area is beautifully framed with a water wise artificial turf section on one side and crushed gravel on the other side.
Rudloff Custom BuildersEntering the back yard is like entering an English garden. To ensure a seamless look between the original new parts of the house, we built the covered patio using the same German schist stone and timber framed stucco. Further, the stone’s pointing matches the original historic stone, and we used a gray grout for a weathered, aged look. The space is finished off with spiraled lattice iron works and all slate roof. At the end of the roof is an open truss timber frame in a cathedral design. Copper flashing at the joints protects the wood from water sitting in the spaces and eventually rotting the joints. The patio itself features a flagstone floor, built in gas grill, and the other side of the Rumford fireplace found in the family room.
