The client wished to create a quiet contemplative area around a bower, bought in memory of a child who had attended the nursery. The garden was also to provide a safe sensory experience for children aged 3 – 4yrs. The budget was extremely tight and the garden was therefore built by parents. The children were to have some input in the creation of the garden which was achieved by taking small groups at a time to plant spring bulbs throughout the beds.
