Design Studio Westa new island layout encourages gathering with room for four. In addition to an outlet on one side of the island, a pop-up outlet at the other end allows for the utilization of small kitchen appliances and casual usage of laptops and personal devices.
Design Theory Interiors, LLCHomeowner wanted a modern wet bar with hints of rusticity. These custom cabinets have metal mesh inserts in upper cabinets and painted brick backsplash. The wine storage area is recessed into the wall to allow more open floor space

Schloegel Design RemodelThe homeowner's wide range of tastes coalesces in this lovely kitchen and mudroom. Vintage, modern, English, and mid-century styles form one eclectic and alluring space. Rift-sawn white oak cabinets in warm almond, textured white subway tile, white island top, and a custom white range hood lend lots of brightness while black perimeter countertops and a Laurel Woods deep green finish on the island and beverage bar balance the palette with a unique twist on farmhouse style.
The Muir ShowroomsThe bar's center upper cabinets had originally had glass doors, but the homeowners decided they preferred solid doors to hide the less glamorous items. They chose to forego light rail molding, preferring to use the light fixtures as a decorative element, but our designer did talk them into a simple Shaker crown molding at the top.
Colossus Mfg.This moody game room boats a massive bar with dark blue walls, blue/grey backsplash tile, open shelving, dark walnut cabinetry, gold hardware and appliances, a built in mini fridge, frame tv, and its own bar counter with gold pendant lighting and leather stools.

MARGARITA BRAVOThis year’s Designer Showhouse was another great opportunity to give back to our Montecito community while showcasing our work as a fully integrated interior design studio. This time around, we participated in the first Home & Garden Designer Showcase by creating the lounge, bar area, and powder room of a nearly 6,000 square foot home in the neighborhood.
The beautiful MARIA LAURA table from our SORELLA furniture line provides a joyful centerpiece to the seating area and shows how flexible and outside-the-box our furniture designs can be. The distinct piano bench, also one of our designs, gives the space a sophisticated touch, and pillows from our MB Home Collection provide a perfect complement to the plush chairs. All of the staging and décor accessories are from louis + rocco, our home decor styling rental business.
Project designed by Montecito interior designer Margarita Bravo. She serves Montecito as well as surrounding areas such as Hope Ranch, Summerland, Santa Barbara, Isla Vista, Mission Canyon, Carpinteria, Goleta, Ojai, Los Olivos, and Solvang.

Progressive Design BuildTo create the dry bar area that our clients wanted, Progressive Design Build removed the ceiling height drywall built-ins and replaced it with a large entertainment nook and separate dry bar nook. Bringing cohesion to the open living room and kitchen area, the new dry bar was designed using the same materials as the kitchen, which included a large bank of white Dura Supreme cabinets, a Calacutta Clara quartz countertop, and Morel wood-stained floating shelves.

Plain & PoshThis large space did not function well for this family of 6. The cabinetry they had did not go to the ceiling and offered very poor storage options. The island that existed was tiny in comparrison to the space.
By taking the cabinets to the ceiling, enlarging the island and adding large pantry's we were able to achieve the storage needed. Then the fun began, all of the decorative details that make this space so stunning. Beautiful tile for the backsplash and a custom metal hood. Lighting and hardware to complement the hood.
Then, the vintage runner and natural wood elements to make the space feel more homey.
