Birds of Flight

A unique component of this project was keeping this homeowner's parrots in mind with the design, as they breed parrots in the home while also owning a local bird store. A few features we incorporated were rounded ledges on the countertops, anti-microbial surfaces, and no handles or edges on which the birds could perch throughout the whole kitchen. Aesthetically, the kitchen was designed around the burgundy Viking range and colorful light features to compliment their parrots. Additionally, we repositioned the focus of the kitchen by taking down a wall to be able to be in the kitchen and take advantage of their beautiful view. Another way we accomplished this was by reallocating their prior wall cabinet storage into base cabinets. Jerry and Lois Photography
