An Italian Villa, Carmel, California

Occupying a clearing in one of the Santa Lucia Preserve’s redwood forests, this residence was designed to recall the villas the clients had experienced during several years’ stay in Italy, and to take full advantage of the opportunities for outdoor living afforded by the similarly mild California climate.
