How do you get the counter and backsplash to look good against brick?

How did you terminate the counter and backplash with the uneven brick? Did you grind the brink to make a channel or did you scribe the backsplash and caulk the seam? Or was the brick basically flat. Seems like the brick wall is not flat though. Have a similar issue getting the best look terminating a floating counter and tall backsplash just like this will an uneven brick wall with a little bulge in the wall.

Hello ryanlauer,, the brick definitely wasn't flat. We lucked out with the counter top and the section of brick it went up against was fairly level but the backsplash was ground down a bit in places and fit as close to the brick as we could get. Because this is a powder room with lower use than say in a kitchen, we weren't concerned with sealing that seams with silicone or the like. We just kept a small gap between the brick and the top/backsplash and ended up with a successful outcome.
