Dark corner in my kitchen

I have a corner in my kitchen that is dark and the spotlights there make shadows at the top of the wall.There will be a round table in that corner but no cabinetry.Theres no windows there.There are 2 windows in the room that give great natural light and 12 down lights.
How can I brighten that corner?
