It looks like heavy-duty screening material to me. It allows filtered light in but keeps leaves from falling on the furniture. It looks good. The pergola structure looks sturdy. Very nice.

Hi, great question. It is 1/4'' laminated safety glass, mounted using an extruded aluminum 'T' bar system. The glass also has a bronze tint. It is snow load rated and will actually support a person.
