Год(а)/Лет назад: 6I have to agree with you. The green looks great with the house color on the door side but something about the combination with the brick is throwing it off. Am I understanding correctly that you just finished painting the body color and trim - so neither of those are up for discussion?
I really like those online paint programs (Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams each have one) where you can upload a picture of your house to play around with the color a little. I definitely recommend getting some actual paint to test before committing, but it might help you choose another complimentary color that could work. I don't think the green is that far off - this one reminds me of oxidized copper.

АвторГод(а)/Лет назад: 6That's correct...the body and trim color are not up for discussion since we've already paid for the majority to be done. We already completely changed the color palette once...lol. My husband and I have had a difficult time agreeing!Denita

In either case I think you want to lean more toward transitional or contemporary rather than cottage. Here are a couple of ideas (not style, but concept) to get you started in thinking about what you prefer

АвторГод(а)/Лет назад: 6Thanks for your input Denita. We haven't done anything with the landscaping yet, but plan to tackle that project in the spring. The utility boxes being so prominent have always bugged me, and we've discussed what to do about it. An L shaped fence could work, but would have to convince my hubby.Denita

I hear you. Some men (usually) just don't see the utilities as something to cover up!

But you don't really want the attention to be drawn to the garage door. Try painting it a color in the bricks (tanish-a neutral color) so that it blends not stands out. Once that is done it will look a ton better. I'm sure once the landscaping is done too that will help.
