I am currently specifying my kitchen in dark cupboards too the ....Maybe a timber veneer . Or a poly tec laminate with a ravin (textured ) finish

Glad you like it. The material is Laminex Designed Timber Veneer. It is reconstituted real timber in a prefinished board. It is more consistent and hard wearing than a natural veneer.

Thanks Ned, I've had a look through their colour range and while they all look good I'm after something more like a dark inky blue with a wood grain through it, do you know where I might find something like this?
