Even something along the lines of a custard yellow, could really add a fun touch.

If you paint the door black, it's going to look like a black hole. It would be a lot more fun and charming to use the door as an opportunity to add a pop of color. I personally think crimson or a rich orange would be perfect. I've attached a few visual references for you.

I definitely agree - a brighter, bold color would definitely bring attention to the building. A bright green goes well with black and grey (a similar color to the green in the Houzz logo even!). Also, keep in mind that colors evoke emotion... so a bright blue, green, yellow or orange would all be great colors for the front door.

A deep bright color. Yellow, orange, fuschia....

I agree with a red tone - I'd go cranberry to bounce off those bricks.

Black with a brushed brass door knocker would be classy and not at all boring. Add color with flower boxes on the second floor.

Beautiful place. I would try a celadon green, yellow, or raspberry. Really anything in line with your taste. What do you have inside? Try what you like. It is easy enough to change. Good luck.

It needs a soft, feminine pastel, like pale coral, or peach.

Don't do the color of the brick sidewalk but something in that family that is really welcoming and takes you from the walk to the door and inside!

My first thought was red or orange, so I'm happy to see a few other people beat me to it! Definitely do not go black, make it POP!

Do NOT paint it black, you need a contrast, like light blue, yellow, red or even orange !

The house looks great! And it's the perfect opportunity to do something bold with the door - a bright colour like red or turquoise would pop, and look great against the black and grey of the exterior.
