mexican feather grass, Nassella tenuissima. great color & movement.

Thank you very much for the response. It looks lovely and would look great on a 3000 sf hill I created (after burying an excess of boulders). I have two concerns: 1. with low irrigation would it get enough moisture on slopes with a rock substructure, and 2. I keep reading that it is regarded as invasive and wouldn't want it all over my 6 acres or further. How to control it from spreading? Any input is appreciated.

where are you located? it is prohibited in australia but is native to mexico and the american SW. very low maintenance, and yes, it could overtake any well drained soil area near by.

I am in Southern California - on a mountain 11 miles of the coast; much wind / ocean breezes that would create great movement in the grass but perhaps also much distribution of the seeds. If NT is too risky here, can you recommend a grass with similar positive characteristics, low water needs, but less risk of invasiveness?
