We have a cabinet maker that does our cabinets. This particular cabinetry called for a slightly distressed look. Started with pine rubbed with lamp black to highlight the character, then sanded, painted with a cherry red oil finish then sanded sparingly with 600 to bring out the distressed look then a coat of clear lacquer. Not for the faint of heart!
