Hi all,
We have white and red oak hardwood floors (70 years old) with natural oil based finish. Our housekeeper who comes once a week usually cleans with a damp cloth with mixture of water and a little bit of bleach. She has been cleaning houses in San Francisco for many years and tells me that's how she cleans everyone with no issues. I have let her do this way so far. But now I have a brand new living space downstairs with new white oak flooring. The flooring was also purchased unfinished and finished with oil-based urethane.
I am wondering if I should ask her to use a different product for cleaning?
