quercus2: It is just the lighting - all the fixtures are chrome. Yes, this was totally a DIY. The only thing that someone else did was put in the granite countertop. Everything else was done by me.

I think you did a lovely job. Cant believe you did it yourself, kudos' to you! The countertop inspiration that set off the project was the perfect piece to transform the space. I like your choice of the quiet marble backsplash and white floor, it lets the countertop take center stage. Great job.

cordina00 I totally took my time on the project, especially painting the cabinets, and I worked only weekends a little at a time. Because of that, it took a couple of months to complete.

house2514: It wasn't hard at all to move the plumbing over for the center sink. My husband was able to do it in no time. He just had to put in an elbow to move it over a bit. We didn't need to put any additional holes in the back of the cabinet.

dramat1c: I thought about painting baseboard, but it's like giving a mouse a cookie and I wouldn't know where to stop. The woodwork goes up and around the linen closet and around the bathroom door. Then I would have two doors in the same baseboard wood also. It's all through the house - - it will be a huge project to paint it all.

The countertop is Marble...very common for this stone to be sold as quartzite but it is marble. Brazilian Arabescato/Super White. Beautiful stone.

beautiful, thinking to paint my old oak bathroom cabinets. Also love SeaSalt :) I used that to paint my laundry room and powder room and also the center island in my kitchen which is directly next to the 2 rooms I painted SW SS

Awesome job. My biggest pet peeve in my bathroom is the mirror. Why they put in one of those huge wall mirrors/medicine chests is beyond me - so dated & my house is only 12 yrs old. Updating just the mirror to one that is framed is just so classy - this makes me one to rip mine off the wall- lol. Love everything done here. Love gray & nickle/chrome finishes!!!

Beautiful bathroom and choice of materials, but I agree with the others who have commented on the baseboard. It needs to be painted white. As is, the dark stain looks out-of-place with all the soft whites and grays. You would stop painting at the door molding.

babydoll6266: It wasn't difficult at all. The tile came in sheets of 12x12 from Home Depot. We did take the toilet up, which made it easier to work around it. If you have a tile cutter or a small tile saw, it will be very easy for you! Go for it!
