Actually, the cost is comparable to a pool. There are a host of variables which will drive costs up, size for example. A 30' x 15' swimming pond could easily come in with a $60 - $100K price tag. A swimming pond is generally much deeper than an ornamental fish pond. The ornamental pond in our picture was constructed 10 years ago. It is 5,000 gallons and came in at $5,000.00 for materials and equipment. Labour is not in that price as we did our own construction.
